Arrival Story:
I was only 15 when Pepper picked me. My parents wanted me to get a poodle because they don't shed and have mellow dispositions. I was dead set against a white or silver poodle; At the time I thought that they were "old people" dogs. Boy was I ever wrong. I happen to call on an ad from the paper and forgot to ask what color the poodle was. Since I was only 15 at the time my mother had to drive me 45 minutes away to see the poodle from the paper. My mother says that Pepper could have been a million dollars and she would have found a way to bring her home. She said that hearts flew across the room and that was it. Pepper was meant to come home with me. The family that Pepper lived with before me loved her dearly, but could not keep her because they were moving. The owner said that she knew right when she saw Pepper and I look at each other that Pepper would have the best home. And she did! She was my beloved Pepper. I could not have become the person I am today without her.
