Arrival Story:
Sarge came from a German Shepherd rescue group in Ennis, Texas. He was turned over to them by his previous family because he accidentally knocked over their son and scratched him. My mom was ready for a dog and rather than go through the puppy stage she opted to check local rescue groups & shelters for a dog in need of a home. We saw Sarge's picture on the rescue group's website and drove out to see him. We decided to go home and think about it but the very next morning we knew that we had to have him so we went back and adopted Sarge and now he's a part of our family.
Bio:
He's a long haired German Shepherd, which is rare around here. People always ask if he's mixed with something. After some research, we found out that the original GSDs were long haired. It's the short haired ones that came about later. Go figure!
