Bio:
Patch is going to be in his first agility trial after 2 years of classes. He has come a long way and we are so pleased with his progress. After Patch's first trial, he Q'd in both of his standard runs. Way to go Patchy! It has been quite some time since I have updated information. Patch has participated in several trials now and has done wonderfully. He is currently working on his level 3 titles for CPE. Not bad for a little guy with a rough start in life. Patch has not been able to do much agility lately. We took him into our vet as he had discharge coming from his nose. I thought maybe he had a foxtail in his nose. The initial diagnosis was not good as we were told that it was nasal cancer. However when we went to the specialist it was re diagnosed as aspergillis a nasty nasal fungus. While still very serious, this was treatable with a good prognosis. He has been through the treatments and so far so good. He is ready to run again, but we are going to let him and us recoop for awhile. Well as it turns out Patch will not be able to return to agility if he runs on dirt. It is risky after the aspergillis because the fungus is found in dirt. So it is grass only or indoor venues only for Patch. Unfortunately our agility group has a dirt arena. We could try another group but ay 9 years old maybe just fun matches on grass. At least he is healthy and happy.
