Leave a bone for Gracie May

My owners some times call me Graciella Maybelene, Pupsidoodle, Guppy, or Barkin' Beast

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

I love COOKIES! I also love going for rides in the car, barking, getting brushed by Krista, and getting some people food in my breakfast.

I really don't like it when birds fly over my yard. Sometimes the little yellow ones land on the feeder in my yard, that really bugs me! I just HAVE to bark at them!

Favorite Toy:
I wasn't tauught how to play as a puppy. When my owners got me when I was already an adult, I didn't know how to use all the toys they got me! I can't fetch still but sometimes I toss around my bone. I also like to run around with people in my backyard.

Favorite Food:
I love Meaty Treat's Jerky. They are my favorite cookie. I also love a piece of my owner's breakfast in the morning. Actually, I love all food.

Favorite Walk:
I like to walk in the park near our house but I love it when we go someplace new. I get tired quicly though so I like to take short walks.

Best Tricks:
I can shake, hi-five, dance, circles, BANG, come, sit, stay, and jump through a hoop.

Arrival Story:
On the day we first saw Gracie, we had also been to the pound. We looked at all the dogs but they were all too big or too hairy or something like that. When we got home, my mom was looking online at rescue dogs. I started looking and I found a dog that fit my mother's requirements: Medium sized, female, 2 years old and good with cats & kids. We went to Petco to see her that day. She was named Jiffy Pop and was an American Eskimo Dog. We thought about her all week and decided to get her. We went to Petco the next weekend and got her. We've had her since October fifth, 2002.

We got her from a rescue and we have no idea who her parents were or where she was from. The rescue thought she had been abused but she isn't afraid of people anymore. Her foster mom must have done a great job of loving her because she seems really well adjusted. We don't know if she is a purebred or even how old she is. We don't know if she was ever a mother.

A Dog's Life by Graciella

3 wonderful years!

I have lived with my forever family for 3 years now! I really love it here. they let me lay around on the furniture all day and give me fresh water every day and good food for breakfast. My girl is so loving, sometimes I think she could love me to death, but it's all good! At least I have a nice warm bedroom to sleep in at night and someone to cuddle with on the couch! I try to protect my family from all the bad things that are outside the house, even though they don't appreciate it very much. They keep telling me to "stop barking!" and threaten to put on my 'bark collar' but all I'm doing is trying to scare off the bad things that I think could hurt them. Just so they know that I'm on guard, that's what's important!

So, happy anniversary to me! Life is Good!

my italian roots

my owners decided that my full name, gracielli maybeleni, is italian. but of course, i can also be called gracie may or my personal favorite, graciella maybelene. graciella maybelene sounds like such a graceful name, but mom is mean and says i am clumsy and should have been named claudette. annie is such a mean cat but mom wont let me chase her. i can barely get a good wiff of her anal glands without being watched like a fox. once i chased annie up the stairs and got in big trouble. i think that cat is too fat and she needs some excitement that might get her heart pumping.
