He loves all toys but isn't really into balls...which is unusual for a golden (all my others were obsessed with tennis balls)...he does have an OCD.....he will lick everyone's food bowl when they are done until you take the bowls away...drives me crazy!!
None really unless you count our recent acquisition of Kady, a rescue....she bosses him and he doesn't seem to like that much....
Jordan.....nothing like beating the tar out of your brother for fun!!
He hasn't met a food he doesn't like....and his weight proves it....enough said....
Around our 5 acres and down the country road...he also loves to take car rides...he loves to travel.
Blake has been a wonderful student....seems to pick up any commands within a day or two....he is no slouch in the brains dept. that's for sure....plus he has the most expressive eyes of any dog that I have owned. I feel like he can look into my heart.
I really wanted an ultralight golden....there was an ad in the Las Vegas paper in January 2004 for super light goldens and I then contacted DoubleBGoldens out of Colorado who were running the ad. I picked him out of a group of 10 pups on the internet!!! (which is something I never thought I would do) and he flew in with the breeder on a rainy February day in 2004. All fluffy and calm....people at the airport went crazy over him....Just a dream dog....housetrained in a couple of days...and NEVER chewed anything up (!!) unlike my other goldens who chewed anything and everything.....We absolutely adore him. He is a VERY special golden. He was named after his parents (Dad was Blade and Mom was Rake) so he became Blake!! He is a very sweet, calm dog who always does what is asked of him. We really were blessed when we got him.....
Blake is a joy...well mannered and just the most huggable dog. He loves being outside laying on the deck or taking a walk but is an indoor dog....was crated for maybe two weeks at night in the very beginning and then decided (he did) that he wanted to be with the "big" dogs......and slept with them in their doggie beds at night. He has been the easiest dog I have ever raised. We sure are happy that we got him..he has been a wonderful addition to our family. And he is the best cuddler.....nothing like spooning with a big ball of fur to make you happy!! I have to say that Blake is probably the best natured dog that we have ever had....he seems to sense your mood and he is there for you if you are having a down day or need some loving.....he also has been just a joy with the other dogs that we have adopted...very accepting of new dogs and a real role model to the younger ones....can't ask for much more than that.....plus he is a looker....get alot of comments on how handsome he is. Update: Nov 2 2015 Blake left us to go to the Rainbow Bridge. He was the BEST!!
Don't hate me cause I'm beautiful!

Well, it is 2010 and we started out the New Year by adopting a new sister for me and my brothers.....she came from Companion Golden Retriever Rescue from Salt Lake.....Mom and Dad said they were so thrilled with my brother, JB, whom they adopted last year that they decided to do it again. She is a chunky girl...and bossy....but I kinda like that in a woman!! HA!
We are learning to play together and kind of figuring out the pecking order .....I think she is a keeper and Mom says I am still her sweetest baby ever and I believe her!!

Hello again ,
I haven't written in a long time...been very busy. So much has changed since my last entry. I lost my golden sis, Nugget, who had an enlarged liver and other health issues and then I lost my best bud, Baylee, to old age. It was a sad time....even though I still had Hunter and Remy. Now I have a new brother who was rescued by the Golden Retriever Rescue and who mom and dad went to Salt Lake and adopted. He is a nut. All we do is wrestle and chase each other and play tug of war. It has helped me lose a few pounds (along with the diet I am on..... :(...not fun).
We are in the midst of summer.....I am on the look out for turkeys who frequent our property along with their babies....and we have had some deer hanging around. I love to see all the critters.
I am still a good boy.....though my new brother has taught me to be rowdy and mom is always telling us to calm down...we can't ....we are boys and we are crazy!!
Mom brushed me yesterday and now I am one handsome dude ready for the 4th of July celebration..... Happy 4th everyone!!

I am living it up here in New Harmony, Utah. I have my three brothers and my sis to keep me busy but it really is my brother, Remy, (he is a Viszla) that keeps me hopping. We run and wrestle until we can't do it any more and then it is nap time.
My back yard is 5 acres of Cottonwoods, oaks and junipers and I can see Tom turkeys every night when they come to roost in our trees. There is an abundance of squirrels thanks to Mom (she feeds them!!) so they like to dance just out of our yard and out of our reach.
My favorite thing to do is to sit up on the deck and look out over my property and watch for that bad cat that belongs to a distant neighbor who comes over to harass us every night. If I ever get my hands on him he will be a goner!!
That is about it for now. My life is pretty cool......food, friends and lots of love. What more could you ask for??
