Leave a bone for Nugget (In memory 1998-2007)

Nicknames:
Nuggie foo foo, Foo, little golden nugget, buttnugget,Nug Nug

Quick Bio:
-purebred

Birthday:
December 30th 1998

Likes:
chew toys sometimes, mom's dish towels (she is always stealing the dish towels from the countertop and bringing them to me),wading in the horse trough

Pet-Peeves:
She isn't really the motherly type...likes puppies for about 30 seconds and then wants them to get away. She hates our parrot with a passion but hates thunder storms more. She is a funny girl.

Favorite Toy:
tug of war toys like with dish towels, tennis balls that she can steal from the boys

Favorite Food:
puppy cookies, cheese, a lick from Dad's ice cream bowl, anything else she is leery of and turns her nose up at

Favorite Walk:
our acreage, our horse arena where there is lots of room to run and where there is usually a big pile of sand to climb and to roll in! Yippee!

Best Tricks:
taking all her toys and putting them in the bathtub and then getting in to sleep. This dog just adores our bathtub...if you can't find her anywhere else in the house, then look in the bathtub.

Arrival Story:
She was a Christmas gift (again!! see Baylee, also a Christmas gift) from my husband.....and is Baylee's niece. She has a walk she does that we call the "Prom Queen" walk...she knows how to strut her stuff!!! She is a pretty independent little girl. She will come tap you on the arm if you are sitting at the computer cause she wants a hug. Everything is on her terms. She likes to be brushed but then wants to go roll around the grass again.....she is a funny girl. Sometimes she turns her nose up at something we try to give her and acts like she is above that sort of thing. She can be a snoot.

Bio:
I had lost my female golden awhile before....and gotten two males in the meantime. My husband thought I should have a girl again, too, so he got her for me...unfortunately, she is more of a tomboy having been raised with the guys but she rules the roost. Takes their toys, pins them down when they wrestle....maybe the guys are just wienies!! Nugget loves to sit out on the deck or on the patio and watch the squirrels, birds, wild turkeys etc. and take in the view. She is a real nature girl. We lost our loving Nugget on Oct. 21 07...she had to be euthanized because of an enlarged liver and severe health issues stemming from that. We will love her and miss her always.....she left a huge hole in my heart...what will I do without my little girl?

Nugget's diary

I am a tomboy and no one understands why. It could be because I am the only girl (well, there is Sparky but she is an old lady) and I have to show these boys who really IS the toughest around here. I try to make their lives as miserable as possible. I steal toys, push them out of the way when it is time for hugs and retreat to my bathtub for a snooze when things aren't going my way. My Mom brought home a baby for me last February because she was sure I wanted to be a mama....well, SU-PRISE!! SU-PRISE!!SU-PRISE!! I thought he was a smelly, bad mannered little monster and wanted nothing to do with him. Now he is 10 months old and he hasn't changed a bit. His name is Blake and he thinks he is the boss of me and he isn't. I tolerate him to a point but most of the time I want nothing to do with him. Plus he's going through a bad spell right now and wants to hump me and THAT won't be tolerated lightly. I think I need a vacation.....somewhere nice and quiet.....with alot of snacks and body rubs....ahhhhhhhh.
