Back in June 2000 I had to have my first Yorkie, Taurie put to sleep because after an operation she developed complications, including kidney failure and a respiratory infection. This broke my heart because I had received Taurie back at the darkest time of my life. My mother had died and I had given up on life. I had planned my own suicide, that's how depressed I was. My aunts knew nothing about this but one of my aunts bought me this adorable Yorkie puppy that I named Taurie. My pom Precious adored Taurie and when I went home without that day, she was sad. My vet and his assistant knew how hard I took Taurie's death, so one day in late September I received a phone call from his office. They wanted me to come by after work because they had found a Yorkie puppy for me. When I got there they gave me this tiny puppy that was so cute! Then came the shocking news: she was a gift from them to me! Precious was thrilled to have a little sister! She taught her all the tricks of the "trade." When Scarlett was old & big enough to go outside, Precious took her to Taurie's grave in our back yard. I was looking for them and the two of them were standing looking at Taurie's headstone, as if Precious was telling Scarlett, "See, that's our big sister. She taught me everything I know, kid, so I am going to teach you." It was a beautiful sight!
