December 1st 1999

I love to steal everything. I can't stop kissing my sister/wife Kenzie's face. I love ruff housing with her and teasing her with her favorite toys. I love following my mommy everywhere.

I hate taking baths. I also hate when my daddy grabs my curly tale. I know it's cute but enough already. I am a neat freak and hate when Kenzie makes a mess with her food. I have to pick up all the little pieces she spills. I hate dressing up!

Favorite Toy:
I love ropes and I have a sock that my mommy gave me. She tied it in a knot and it's my favorite. I also love the racquet ball that Kenzie found in the backyard.

Favorite Food:
I love vegetables and fruit, and pretty much any kind of food. Sometimes we go through this one McDonalds and they give us doggie treats in the drive through. I also love their hamburger buns!

Favorite Walk:
I love to walk in our neighborhood and go on road trips. I love Glamis and I like to feel the sand on my paw-toes.

Best Tricks:
I can sit and shake but that's about it. Kenzie is so good at her tricks, it is very intimidating sometimes. When my mom tells me to lay down for cuddling, I will lay down and roll over. When my mommy says "treat", I always come!

Arrival Story:
I was running around out front of these model homes on Valentine's Day. I was only six months old at the most. I saw this lady and man walking in front of these homes and I ran up to them. They looked like very sweet people and gave me a big hug when I ran up to them. They had one more home to look at. They walked in and shut the door in front of me! I pawed to get in but the door wouldn't open. When the lady came out she saw me at the door and I remember her telling the man how cute I was. She stayed with me and pet me, but she had to go and talk to this realtor woman in this office. I kept jumping up on this glass door to get to the lady and I heard the realtor say she was going to call the pound. The lady said no and came out I hugged me and begged the man to take me home and she would take me to a no kill pound. The man finally caved in. On the way home I layed on the lady's lap and I heard her tell the man that she loved me. When I got to their house they had another dog that was just a little older then me. Their dog hated me and we fought ferociously. They had to keep us separated for about two weeks and finally one day when they tried to put us together again, our fighting turned to playing. Their dog is now my sister/wife and I love her so much. I could not imagine my life without her or my mommy and daddy. Now that I’ve been rescued for about 7 years, I am an indoor dog with toys, treats and a soft fluffy bed. I am so lucky to have met that lady and man on Valentine’s Day. That is how I became to be called Valentine.
