Did you know you can drink water out of bowls or ponds or streams? I didn't know. When dad first brought me home, I played hard with Gus and dad and mom. And I ran around the chair. And I ran around the chair the other way.
Eventually, I got thirsty. I looked everywhere, but I couldn't see that metal tube with a ball in it I could lick and get water from. I got thirstier and thirstier.
Daddy picked me up and put me in front of a big bowl. When I looked down, I could see another dog who looked just like me. Dad explained in people talk something but I couldn't figure it out. Then he put his paw in the bowl and held it out to me. I licked it and found out it was wet. I quickly figured out I could drink from a bowl. I still put my whole head in the bowl first.
Water comes in even bigger bowls outside. I didn't know that until I was running with Gus and tried to run on water. I got so wet and scared. Gus laughed.
Now I like to swim and kayak.

As I explained earlier, my dad hates puppy mills and vowed to avoid any pet stores that sold puppies. Well, my brother Gus needed a special grooming tool so dad went to a different pet store. He saw me there and played with me. I was so excited, I played rough. No one seemed to understand me there until dad came. I was even marked way down cause I had been there so long. Dad was afraid I'd be put back on the truck or disposed of cause no one understood wires, so he brought me home.
As I had lived inside a crate for my entire five months, there were so many things to learn. I was romping in the tall grass with dad when a tarp moved--but no one was there. I sat down and watched the tarp move. I couldn't see how it moved. I decided to stay away.
I started back to play when I noticed the trees and leaves moving. I sat down again and watched. Click! I looked back and the tarp was moving and the grass was moving. I looked at daddy and he laughed and said it was only the wind.
Wow! So much to learn.
