Arrival Story: Rock was owned by someone that seemed to love him but was just not able to keep him. Rock was in and out of different homes and back and forth from the Animal Shelter, until one time no one went and got him released. He sat there for 6 months. He was not allowed to get out side his cage with just any volunteer, only certain people with permission could take him out of his cage, needless to say he did not get out much. So he tore up his little world in any way he could figure out how. He was a problem guest! We decided to take him home for a weekend of respite, when we saw him just lying there bitting on the metal frame of his cage door. He never barked or jumped, just layed there chewing and looking around like a kid sucking it's thumb. Once in our home, and seeing him melt onto the furniture and play with the dogs in the yard...we could never take him back to the Shelter. He has a face like an monkey and as much smarts I think. He won our hearts. But we have to be always alert with Morocco around. He is smart and STRONG and he's got GAME like I have never seen in a dog. Caring for him is a super lesson in responsibility, we will owe him forever for these lessons.
Bio: No one is for sure how old he is, but people see him out in public and say..."hey is that ROCK?!" Many people have met him because he had lived in so many different homes and places. They make us proud when they say..'He looks Great!". We always ask if they know where he came from or how old he is. His parents are still a mystery but we are guessing he must be 4yrs, from what we are told..We changed his name because we already had a dog named RockStar, that we sometimes call Rock. So to stay with the sound...and his exotic style, we named him Morocco!

I've Been On Dogster Since:
I got to be in a big parade! My Dad took me and our friend Joe (Joe is from China) to Kansas City on Saturday March 14th. We were entered with the Bullies Playground group. I was one of nearly 60 Bully Breed dogs with their friends and family in the parade. There were alot of other Pits. Dad said I was one of the best behaved dogs there! I was cleaned up and ready for the public too (got a bath the night before, nails were trimmed, new collar, all my tags on, wore some green and orange, was well rested, good weight, hydrated, happy and feeling fine... I'm also FIXED! :). My Dad pointed out that not all dogs were clean, some were misbehaving and some were not even feeling well!, loose bowels and throwing up!!! besides most were still intact. We were supposed to be making a point about the breeds, our families are supposed to be advocates to help us get better reputations! Can you believe people would bring intact, dirty, misbehaving and sick dogs out to be in a parade? Why can't they just say "we're not ready for this!" and stay home or leave when they realize their dog has had to much excitement for one day. Sometimes just getting there is the whole battle and then it's time to leave. Each time you might get further into the event, but it may take awhile before you get to enjoy the entire planned event. We are like raising kids...it's not always easy...but if you do it right it's rewarding :)
Me and my Dad, Paco, are going to be in this Parade! We have to be there at 8:30am, that means up at dawn and on the road by 7am. We are joining a group of all other bully breed dogs: Pits, Mastiffs, French Bulldogs, English Bulldogs, etc. It should be alot of fun! I'll let you know.
