He has over 100, but he loves to *talk* - about 7 different tones that he combines in various patterens to tell long stories of what's on his mind... talking is a trick he did on his own, though I eventually decided to put it on command as well

Arrival Story:
After pleading for a dog for over 9 months, the third adult in the house finally surrendered. I knew I wanted to do therapy work, so I found a puppy with the perfect temperament.

Bio:
Unfortunately when Max was still a pup there was an accident that resulted in him not trusting adults he didn't know (he always loved kids). Max had gained much of that trust back, but still wasn't ready to be certified for therapy work... when he developed cancer and needed to be put down (there was no chance of saving him). That was shortly before his 6th birthday.
