Quick Bio:
-dog rescue

Birthday:
April 20th 2006

Likes:
Playing with kitties and getting brushed. Catching things, either thrown by herself or someone else. Destroying anything that contains something else, freeing the contents. Seeing my family and friends. Long car rides.

Pet-Peeves:
Tacoes. Loud music. Not being allowed to hang out the car window. Cigarettes. Anyone who feels it necessary to be mean.

Favorite Toy:
She destroys them all! She likes her owl and her panda, or what's left of them... She loves the enormous rawhide bones, which she carries around the apartment like a cave-dog.

Favorite Food:
Avocadoes. Fish. Cat Food.

Favorite Walk:
Down any sidestreet to E 116th back up to Buckeye and then home. Walking anywhere not in the city - in the woods, down the dirt street, in the field.

Best Tricks:
She has a mean high-five.

Arrival Story:
I was driving to work one day when I saw her running around the busy industrial park. I drove by, but after a close-call with a FedEx truck, I turned around and picked her up. It was easily the coldest day in March, and she had broken her chain and was wondering around, looking for someone to find her. She was emaciated with crusty scabs and cuts on her muzzle, terrible dander, and was in desperate need of a bath. I took her back to work with me and kept her tied up in the back (I work in a Microbiology lab, so she couldn't very well sit in there with me) and on my lunch, I ran to the store to get her some temporary supplies. I took her home instead of to the kennel so that she wouldn't get put down and flyered in the area where I found her, but no one called. After a month, with her muzzle healing and a little meat on her enormous bones, I registered her and got her microchipped and now she's living quite happily in my menagerie, with a sweet cat, a fat chinchilla, and a new kitten (from the sweet cat). It's kind of amazing the harmony and zen that we have going on in my abode.

At least that is what I hear. My ChaCha signed me up for this (without telling me). Today... is not fun. It's much to warm outside, making it much to warm inside. All I want to do is sleep! That's pretty much all I do anyways.

Yesterday was nice. ChaCha was home for more of the day than usual, and when she got home from work in the evening, we went for a super-long walk all over the neighborhood and then took a break and hung out in the park. I got brushed again and got lots of kisses for being a good girl. My coat looks extra fly. I'm shiny, thanks to lots of avocadoes and firm bristle brushes. I think one is from one of ChaCha's boy friends. I chewed the handle off because I haven't seen him in a while. Finders Keepers! I just need to get my nails done now.

The kitties will be leaving next week. At least four of them. I'm a little upset. I've watched them grow up this far; I was even there for the birth and almost three-quarters of the pregnancy. They're like my babies, too! I love to help ChaCha and GiGi clean the kitties and round them up for bed time. Sometimes we just snuggle and all sleep together. I'm surely going to miss them!

I start Doggie School next week. I'm kind of nervous. I haven't met too many other dogs, so I hope I can handle a whole roomful of new tails. I think I can. ChaCha and I have been working on commands like sit and stay (I made it to 30 seconds!), lie down, high-five, and jump. Next, hopefully I can get a hang of rollover, bang, play dead, and singing. I don't have much of a voice. I hardly ever even bark - except at menacing strangers!
