Arrival Story:
Friends of us had a litter of puppies, 8 pups, 4 males 4 females. She was the only brown one. For my parents that was the chance to make us let go of wanting a pony.

Bio:
Having four daughters my mum had wanted to name every one of us Paula but my dad always objected. With the dog he finally gave in and mum got to name her fifth girl Paula. __________________________________ ___________ Paula wasn't the first dog we had but she is the first I remeber. She was absolutely loyal to our family, especially to my dad. She hated all other men though. I belive that is due to her mum's owner being abusiv, as he would probably put it being strict. Whenever we went on vacation we took her with us adn that's what mattered to her most. Being with the entire pack. A 12 hour car ride to France? She loved it! Nothing she would not have done for us. She truly was a great dog and I miss her very much. __________________________________ _____________ From her very first day in our home she had serious issues with her stomach. Years later I found out that my parents were considering putting her down because she was constanly sick. She had no control over her bowel movements and had to take medication every day. We could not let her sleep in the house as she was not able to go through one night without having an accident. She had a doghouse in front of ours to spend the night and she loved it. It sure was the safest place to hide the house key. Because she was such an escape artist she was tied to the doghouse. It had a flat roof so she could lie on it. Whenever she heard one of us come home she'd jump on it to get a better look. When I came home that day and didn't hear the chain rattle I knew she had passed. That morning when I woke up I came into the kitchen and told my dad how I had dreamed about her dying, that was before I even saw her. She was lying in her basket in the kitchen, her whole stomach was bloated and she cried so heartbreaking. I must have heard her crying during the night and somehow included that in my dream. I had to go to school and my mumwas taking her to the vet but before she got their Paula had died. __________________________________ ______________ I know I was only a kid, just approaching my teens when she passed, back then but I can hardly think about her. Everytime I do I remeber the times when I was not good to her, when I yelled at her or didn't take her on a walk because I was busy doing other things. I know in my head that she had a good life, we all loved her, but I still feel that I could have done so much better. I wish I had the chance to do it all over again. I'd make sure she had the best life any dog could ask for.

Forums Motto:
Gone but not forgotten

her special friend:
Paula was very agressiv with other dogs but when our neighbours brought their Kuvasz home it was love at first sight! At first he was just a tiny pup but once fully grown he was a giant. He was the only dog she ever truly got along with, not minding sharing her bowl with him or sleeping on the same pad.
