Sam's story

Tika reporting on Sam's visit to the dogtor

Hi everyone...Dad took Sam to the vet and I had to stay home but this is what Sam told me when he got back.
Dad carried him into the vet! He was so weak and couldn't stand up! the dogtor looked in his mouf and ears and listened to his heart and suck a thing you know where! The dogtor and Dad talked about a sample! and talked some more. Then Sam got a shot! in his neck! and some stuff squirted in his mouf! and he started to cry...well he said he didn't but I would have!!!!!!
They came home and Dad put him on the sofa and he just lay there all day and all night and wouldn't eat or drink anything.!!!!
Now it is morning and he wagged his tail at me and asked Mom for some food! She gave him a teeny bit and he is resting again.
I hope he feels better soon cause I miss him and playing by myself is so not fun.

To the little deer that was killed today

Little little deer,
you were so young and small and wobbly on your long legs,
you didn't know why the big dog was chasing you but you knew that you had to run away,
the traffic was busy and slowed down when they saw the two of you running on the highway,
but they didn't stop and you were run over by the trucks big wheels, then the dog attacked you and did what his wolf instincts told him to do,
Mom was crying and honking the horn and called the wildlife control to come and stop the dog, mother nature was swift with your life little deer but Mom saw you and knew your life had meaning.
Be free little deer.
Please keep your dogs on leashes or in a yard.

At the Beach

I went to the beach for a holiday with my family. We stayed in a nice cottage and I was quite confused about where all my familiar stuff was as this was my very first time away from my home!!!!!
I was pretty tired from the drive to the cottage cause the road is very very windy and curvy! I had a good spot on the floor of the minivan where Dad folded the seats down for me, but I still had to stop myself from falling over the whole way!
As soon as we arrived at the cottage we went exploring at the beach and I went in the ocean...I drank some of it and it tasted funny. We smelled kelp and clams and seaweed and I found a jellyfish! Then we went back to the cottage for a rest so Mom and Dad could unpack and wait for the rest of the family to arrive.
We all had a super duper time and I loved the ocean and swimming in the big waves. I love the cool air and the sea breezes.
I slept like a log at night! I was so worn out from all the exercise we did!
Love summer and love to hang out with the family!
