I'm a Barbie Girl in a Dogster World!

It's My Pawty!

Last Saturday was crazy! It was finally time for my 1 year old Birthday Pawty! Hey, wait a minute you say, haven't you been celebrating your birthday on your dogster page for the last month? How clever of you to notice! Yes, my real birthdate is March 14th, but since Skipper didn't have all of her shots we had to wait a month.

It's pretty funny that Mom had included an alternate "rain date" for the pawty on the invitation, as on the day of my pawty it was 90 degrees out! Yes, 90 degrees, and it was HOT! As you might guess those of us with little to no noses don't do well in the heat, so it wasn't an ideal climate, but luckily we had enough cool coats to share with our Frenchie and Puggy friends who hadn't brought theirs. Let's see, we had my BFF Luna (of course) and her brother Astro, my cousin Remy, Bridget and Sophie, Atticus (Cuddles wasn't feeling well), Buddy and Suzy Q, Kobe and Bruno, Joey, Trevor, Emma and Sadie and then the 6 of us, so all together there were 20 dogs in attendance!

Once the weather cooled off we were able to play. There were lots of special treats and of course my birthday cake.

The humans also had food and 2 different cakes, but we didn't get to try any of that!

All in all, it was a very nice pawty and a very special day for me. I think my slideshow pretty much sums up everything, so enjoy...

Happy Birthday to Me!

Today was totally pawsome, it was my very first birthday, and it was a special day!

This morning I got a bath, which wasn't so great, but afterwards I got to go outside to play and lounge in the sun.

Tonight some friends came over for a small party, none of my doggie friends were able to make it because Skipper still doesn't have all of her shots. It's okay though because next month Mom is throwing me a BIG 13 Month Old Pawty with everyone! Woo Hoo!

We did have some yummy cake! Mom got me a special doggie cake with my picture painted on it...pawsome! If you're wondering who my friend is in my birthday picture, he's our new houseguest, Ling Ling the Ambassabear. He belongs to my friend Georgie who lives far away, and he's visiting us here in California for a few days. He'll write about his adventures with us in his journal and then move on to the next place. Neat, hun?

Well, I must say that my first year of life has been pretty great, and I'm looking forward to what this next year will bring!

The New Year

Wow, it's hard to believe that it's almost the end of January! A lot of things have been going on...

A couple of weeks ago my BFF, Luna got a HUGE surprise, her parents brought home a little brother! I haven't gotten the chance to meet him but from what I hear Astro (or Monkeyface, as we like to call him) is quite the little pistol. He's only 7 lbs and he CLIMBED out of a 2 ft high x-pen! Luna seems to be enjoying having the company.

This week I went to see Dr.Kerry, as my ears have been bothering me. As it turns out I have an infection in both ears, so now I'm subjected to twice daily ear cleaning and medication, the only upside is that I get treats for being a good girl.

It has been raining all week here, I don't like the rain, especially having to go potty when it's raining! My parents think that I need a rain coat, so in addition to having to go out on the wet (yuck!) grass, I have to go out there with a dumb raincoat with hood. How am I suppose to concentrate when that hood is bothering my ears? I MUCH prefer using the indoor potty area (oops! did I just admit to that?) which my parents DO NOT prefer!

In other exciting news, I've been asked to be the model for the City Slicker Plum Rainwear coat on www.pugnsnuggly.com! Midge is already on there, as are our Pug friends, Phoebe and Lulu.
