Greetin's, Dahlings!

Well, Hellooooooo there from me and my sistah, Lilah, in Carolina! We're enjoyin' the sunshine and gearin' up for Summah, my favorite season of the year! Eastah is next week and that's right around the corner!! I cain't wait to see what the Easter Basset brings to ouah house...some yummy liver treats, jerky strips, ham bones and such...Ooh! Ha!

And, ya'll, I'm quite ready for a road-trip! How about the beach...some sand between my toes and a lil' somethin' smelly to roll in... Or, wait! How 'bout a little sojourn to the mountains where Sissy and I can dip our delicate posteriors in the rushin' water of the spring that flows downhill and into the lake in front of ouah Grandmamma's cabin...

Ah, I'm gittin' plum giddy just thinkin' 'bout Summah!!! Sunshine on my freckles makes me happy... and giddy... and daydreamy... and all things wonderful!! What BLISS!

New Year's 2005

My sister, Lilah, and I just finished celebrating our 7 month birthday, our first Christmas and something called New Year's...all right in a row! Boy, is my tummy full of yummy tweets and goodies. All our family, neighbors and many friends have stopped by to pay homage to Sissy and me during this wonderful time. They have brought us toys, tweets and lots and lots of belly rubs. Mmmm! Mmmm! My favorite!!!

Our two-legged family was sad 'cause they missed Molly and Samuel who have gone to The Bridge but Lilah and I gave them lots of kisses and hugs to remind them that we are here and we love them too. I'm going to have to sleep until this time next year just to recover my energy. Who knew being a BEE-U-TEE-FUL PRINCESS was this difficult?!

Wait! Did someone say PAWTY? Another one? Oh, yeah...Sissy and I will be one year old on May 19...guess I'll have to wake up in time to hold court again on that day! If you're in the neighborhood, come on by...bring presents...er...
nevermind...Mommy says it is not good manners if you have to ask. (Well, bring 'em anyway if you've already gone to the trouble of buying 'em...it would be rude to turn them down too, wouldn't it?) ;-)

Daisy gets a doggy deck

My beloved sister, Lilah, and I live in the South where we reside inside the "main house" with our human slaves. However, as any good hound knows, there are times when a girl just needs to enjoy some fresh air. Now I tell you, that becomes a real problem when one's paws must actually touch dirt in order to do so!! Therefore, Lilah and I got together and begged...er...ordered our Drool Slaves to pawchase us a new doggy deck so our tootsies wouldn't suffer during our sojourns into the great outdoors. Being the excellent slaves they are, they immediately ordered us a new deck on which to recline. Well, the old shelters then looked very shabby so, of course, we had to beg...er...demand a chic new extra large Dogloo with a vented roof and orthopaedic pad for our most delicate posteriors. They are simply too good to us! Not only did we get what we asked for, we insisted they place treats inside the new "summer house" before we would enter it. Aren't we splendidly clever?!
