As you can see by the new picture Scooter went canoeing for his first time this weekend. He loved to chase and catch the leaves as they floated down the river. He also tried to swim away one time which got him hooked up to the canoe. This was no anchor for him though. He just pulled the canoe right out into the river to get that leaf. Not only is he an amazing swimmer but he can run through the woods now. It was fun to watch and see where his nose would take him. Then I would call for him and he would come back running to me at full speed every time. It was so much fun.
There is another Brittany in the neighborhood. Her owner is also a dog groomer. Lately I have been way too hot to take a long walk and it was obvious I needed a trim to cool off. Today I had my first "Brittany" hair cut. I have extra freckles now and my butt looks extra fuzzy. I still refuse to get my belly groomed. No way! It just so happens that my groomer owns my girlfriend. I have not played with another Brittany since my brothers and sisters. I was crazy. We barked to each other and ran together. I've played with many other dogs but I'm not sure I have ever had so much fun. I did not want to go home. I'm ready to celebrate 4th of July at the farm now. I don't mind loud bangs at all. I'd probably be perfect for hunting but I'm happy just being a family dog.
