We love to run, we love to chew on nylabones & we are never far from each other! Any body of water...we will be in it!

Pet-Peeves:
The dog next door barking at us when we play ball in our backyard.

Petitie nylabones, red kongs filled with frozen yogurt and each other!

Favorite Food:
Dog food, fatfree yogurt, boiled chicken

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere..we walk on a tandem leash & we usually get lots of attention wherever we walk!!

Best Tricks:
Tricks!?? People do not really expect Dachshunds to do tricks do they???

Arrival Story:
The girls are littermates, & I got them when they were 8 weeks old. They have never been separated from each other except once when Ellie spent three days at the Vet on IV's. Helga refused to eat till they were together again. When Ellie is sick..Helga stays close by her side & worries. If one is nearby...the other is not far behind. They sleep as they did when they puppies, curled around each other in a knot. When they are scared...they run to each other for comfort. They protect each other fiercely..usually Helga is the first one to protect Ellie...but all 7 1/2 pounds of Ellie is ready to protect Helga if she needs it.

Bio:
Helga & Ellie love people. They love to get into trouble. It is their greatest trick. They are wicked smart..as most doxie owners find out in short order. Both work together to get into trouble. Helga usually runs the distraction of the humans while Ellie gets into whatever she can. They share the spoils of all illgotten gains. Ellie will climb on the table to push a loaf of bread onto the floor and Helga will be waiting below to run with it. If Helga is playing & acting cute & Ellie is not around..we rush to see where she is, because it usually means she is into something bad. Helga does not act silly ..it is not her nature..unless she is trying to keep us from stopping Ellie from getting into something. They are a handful..but they are two of the most loving dogs that have ever owned us. They are a constant source of amusement.
