Arrival Story: Rebel came to us from the Belgian Malinois rescue. He was taken in by the rescue at 6 months, and hadn't had any socialization. Luckily there couldn't have been a better place for him! His foster Mommy & Daddy have a big Malinois family, kids (of all ages), and a cat! So Rebel (who was formerly known as Oscar, and formerly known as Gus) had lots of socialization right away! It was a sink or swim experience and Rebel turned out to be an Olympic champion! We applied to adopt Rebel and had to go through a very scrupulous process of inspections, interviews, reference checks and then we finally got to meet him! It was love at first sight.

ROCK ON! I finally have something that I'm better at than my sister! It was great to watch her barking on the sidelines as I sailed off the end of the dock!!!!
This was my first tournament this weekend at Codorus Summer Blast. And I wasn't nervous at all! Plenty excited, but I didn't hesitate once jumping off that dock. And wouldn't you know it that my first jump sailed me into the Senior class - 19' 8"!!! I tied my wave for first, but then when it came down to the second jump I didn't jump as far as the other dog so I got second place.
And THEN Dad took me back on Sunday because we thought I might make finals. And I almost did. But the Great Dane beat me out by 2 measly inches! Oh well, there's always next time!!! I still had a great time and I LOVED that Maggie had to just sit by and watch while I got all the attention for once!

Flyball is really tough - especially for a big, manly dog like me.
But since Mom and Dad didn't want me to miss out on all the fun, they started letting me go to Dock Dogs! Which I LOVE! It's awesome. Really manly, and awesome. And my first tournament is coming up in May. I'm going to whoop up!!!!
