My First Day

05/18/07My first day on Dogster and it is great. I'm glad Dixie found this page. I think it will be exciting to meet new friends from everywhere. I don't meet many new pals; we just hang out with ourselves; the other family and neighborhood pals. Today is a cool day for Nashville; its called blackberry winter here so I won't be too hot today. I will have to get a very close trim for the summer and I hate the trims because it always includes that deep cleansing bath and they always put a bow in my hair. Its not like I'm a lap dog. I'm more like the sled dog type.

Back to playing and barking for now.

Monday ugh

Its Monday; not my favorite day after a great weekend. I had lots to keep me busy watching the workmen level the dirt around the house and clear out lots of brush and trees. I helped supervise of course. I'm going to miss all the brush though. I loved running through it.

Back to chewing on my rawhide. I think it helps keep my teeth clean. Dixie and Susie are behaving so far and they better keep it up.

Friday Friday

It is once again Friday-the best day of the week. My mama will have a 3 day weekend; more time to play with us I hope. It is going to be a warm weekend though. It is just about time to get my summer trim and they do trim me down close. I look really funny that way but who cares; it keeps me cooler. I would enjoy a good snow about now. I love playing in the snow and chasing snowballs too much.

I guess I will settle for staying in the shade today and teasing Dixie and Susie. I will see how much I can get them to bark today.

Summertime

I survived getting the summer cut but now I look funny and the others laughed at me but that is ok. I am much cooler. My coat should be back by winter.

Just wishing for a bit of rain here. It is past my bedtime so I am heading there now.

A Nice Day

Just enjoying a nice day outside sporting the summer cut. I am much cooler now thank goodness and it isn't so hot today anyway. Lots of rabbits and birds to chase around here in the yard and that is what I've been doing when not napping. I wish we all could take a nice trip to the mountains but I don't think that is going to happen until early fall. Last time Mama didn't take any of us. Alley still wants to see the Eiffel Tower too but that won't be happening right now either. I think Paris TN would be better for her.

Back to the rabbits and birds-not that I would actually hurt them. I just like chasing them.

A Veritably Lovely Day

So far today has turned out lovely. Finally we got some much needed rain this morning which cooled things off. We may get more rain later today and some tomorrow and after that back to being dry. I have been out splashing in the puddles and getting my clean coat dirty of course but I do like to look and smell like a dog sometimes. And jumping in puddles is so much fun. The neighbor's dogs came over for a short visit this morning but they got too hot and went back in.

Back to splashing and then napping later.

Another Dang Monday

Despite all efforts to skip it Monday is here but it is a lovely day. I will be outside playing and napping; chasing birds, butterflies and rabbits. That helps keep me keep my girlish figure. I love beautiful summer days. Later we have a small chance of rain this evening but I won't be holding my breath. We had a little rain last week but thats been it. I guess its better we didn't have a vegetable garden this year; mom would spend half the evening watering it. One year we had so many vegetables that we had to give alot away. It was so much fun giving food away to the neighbors. I am fond of the little cherry tomatoes and will eat them off the vine.

Back to the yard and running about; then I guess I will need a nap. The others will be out to play this evening when Mom gets home.

A Lovely Friday

Its a lovely Friday in Music City today. I am spending the day chasing rabbits and birds and chewing on my new rawhide. Susie and Dixie decided to stay inside today but I get an occasional visitor at the fence. Tomorrow looks like a rainy day so I will be on my back porch alot. I will splash in a few mud puddles too. I just hope it doesn't storm-the noise and the lightning scare me.

Back to playing and waiting on some of the neighborhood dogs to come by for a visit.

Mondays

Another Monday and back to work for Mom. It is looking like a hot and sunny week for us but I do pretty well outside even in the heat with my summer cut. I have plenty of shade and there is usually a breeze blowing. I also have a covered porch for shade and lots of water. I just prefer staying outdoors. I am looking forward to fall already though. I would like at least one snow this winter-nice fluffy snow to play in. When it snows Mom makes snowballs and throws them for me to retrieve. It is hard to find the balls but I usually manage. I think I'll dream about the snow when I nap today.

Rain, Rain, Rain

Finally we got rain and it felt so good last night. I was outside and ran about a bit while it was raining but then went back to the porch since it was lightning and thundering. I didn't want to get shocked out there. It is a bit cooler too which is good for me since I will be outside today. I am waiting for Wednesday when I get to find out what the vet hotel is like. The lady there promised to make it like a vacation for all of us while Mom is away. Alley says she enjoyed her stay. The vet is not big on snacks but he has been nice and kind to us in the past. I just hope I don't get homesick.
