Hi Everyone

I went to the vet for a check-up and I am doing well. They stuck me with all these needles. I think they called them rabies and parvo and distemper. Yuck. Mom takes me swimming in the pool to help with my paw. My human sisters think she's kooky for doing this but it helps. I have to say I don't really like swimming, it's not really my gig. I'd much rather chase butterflies in the yard. Well I'm off for a car ride. We need to go visit Papa.

I got my sutures out

Hi everyone. Today was the big day. I got my sutures out. I didn't even cry. My mom said I was real good and gave me a treat. Mom has to do these exercises to my paw 30 times each, three times everyday. I also have to stay in my crate. She wasn't really that good about that for the first two weeks. She always says I look so sad in my crate, and I also cry to come out. I'm getting better though. I'm not supposed to go on walks, play with my toys or anything. Just come out of my crate for bathroom breaks. Sometimes my Mom can take me in the car for a ride or I can go for a walk if she is holding me. That's it though for two more weeks. Mom wants to make sure to follow orders, because she doesn't want me to have a limp. Gonna go snooze now.

I got my bandages off yesterday

I went to see the vet and got my bandages off yesterday. I'm doing pretty well, but I still favor my paw. My paw is very skinny. My haircut looks poodle like because both of my arms are shaved (for my operation) and i have puffy bottom paws. Mom started to exercise my paw yesterday. I don't like to sit still for that. Well I'm off to play tug of war with mommy now. See ya

Great news for Jackson.

He came through his surgery beautifully. His injury wasn't as bad as the vet thought it would be. The fracture did not go all the way through his elbow joint. Woo Hoo. He will have a soft bandage and be home tomorrow. Yeaaahhhh. I can't wait. I miss my lovebug.

Jackson's Surgery is Today - 5/23/07

My poor baby Jackson. I was in the kitchen holding him up and kissing him and slipped on my tile floor. We both fell, but Jackson broke his paw (elbow). He is having surgery today, a plate and screw put in his little elbow. He is only three months old. He is my little love.

Has anyone else's dog had this surgery? I need to keep him quiet for 4 weeks afterward. This is going to be hard. Any suggestions?
