Birthday: December 30th 2005 Likes: She loves to keep busy protecting one minute and playing the next. Loves water hose. Loves to listen for Daddy coming home on his motorcycle! Also loves when Momma plays rough and wressles and throws ball. Can not get enough of the Lazer light. Pet-Peeves: She does not like her paws touched for too long. Skateboards, doorbell and shopping carts. Momma and Daddy going to work. Favorite Toy: Hard large bones, tennis balls, anything that sqeaks. Kayla loved stuffed toys and rope toys but she rips them too quickly and can not have them unless supervised! Favorite Food: Milk Bones and Liver Snacks. And do not leave out the Greenie (which should come in Jumbojumbo size!) She gets much boiled chicken and rice due to her sensitive tummy. Favorite Walk: Congressional Cemetery, she gets to run all over off leash. She likes to walk everywhere. Lincoln Park is a favorite and also DogMa day care, she gets to run all day with 50 other dogs. Kayla is also a great jogger and loves to go with Momma and Daddy. Best Tricks: She will do anything for a treat! She likes to find the bone after we hide it. Lay, sit, stay are all great. She loves to fetch, but does not like to give up the item after! Arrival Story: Momma and Daddy wanted a German Shepherd and searched out a breeder in Southern Maryland. We were able to visit her at 5 weeks old and pick her up and hold her and pick her out. We received her at 8 weeks old. It was a great ride home, she didn't even make a peep. She came with a stuffed red lobster, that she did not even tear up until after 1 year! While other toys were ripped right away. She came to live in Washington, DC with Momma and Daddy and the cats Ace and Lacey. She didn't even need any potty training or crate training because the breeder did such a great job. Kayla taught us a few things! Bio: Kayla is a very large dog for a female and she is about 90 pounds. She was born on December 30, 2005. She is very sweet and loving, but very protective. She loves to run and play with other dogs. Her favorite place is the doggie day care. She loves to jump in the water or run under the water hose. She loves the beach. She is very smart and loves to understand us when we speak to her. She gets along with our cats one better than the other, because one looks like a squirrel and she tends to want to chase her. She is the joy in our lives and we can't imagine life without her. We eventually would like to have her be a therapy dog, but need to wait until she is a little older and more calmed down. She is still a pup and loves to jump and get excited. We will also be finding a sister for her in a few years so she has a pup play mate at home. We have word that my little brother Falco was born on September 1 !!! I am very excited to welcome him into the family. We have a photo posted for his own web page of the day he was born. Momma will post more photos as they come. Falco will come to our home in late October.
While my Moma was searching Dogster and looking at other doggies, she saw a pretty dog named Kadja. Come to find out Kadja is Kayla's big sister! They share the same parents!! Kayla is happy to have such a pretty sister!!
