Paws in the Park!

On Saturday me and Teddy went along to one of the biggest dog shows held every year..Paws in the Park. A trip here always entails me being woken up at 6am!! and out the door by 7.30am! I'm so not a morning doggy BOL.

Anyway this was also a test for mum to monitor my behaviour. If you read my previous diary entry you will see i've had to quit my training due to constant whining and general unease. Mum was not sure whether i would be the same at the dog show. It was a nice day, chilly in the morning but it soon warmed up. Mum decided to only enter me in one show as she didn't want to stress me out so we entered "Most handsome crossbreed male" in Scruffts! It was judged by celebrity vet Marc Abraham, in the ring mum kept telling me i was a good boy and told me to do a few things too to keep me distracted and guess what? Hardly any whining :D i did whine towards the end a bit but we was waiting for what seemed an eternity to be judged! When Marc judged me he said to mum that i was very gentle...a lovely compliment, and mum was chuffed too :) But did i place? NO! We wasn't really fussed though their was a lot of handsome guys in the ring with me. Throughout the rest of the day we did some shopping, Nanny got me a new bed for her house, i got some treats and free goodie bags. And i was brilliant! I didn't whine nearly half as bad as i do during training which brings mum to the conclusion that it is something about the training that has deeply upset me :( Oh well, least i don't have to go back.

Anyway a good day on the whole, i was tired out after and slept all the way home. Apparently i heard mum say i'm off to another one next weekend! :o
