Lobo is doing amazing.
Never regret helping your best friend. When Abby had her CCL surgery at 10 years of age, it was slightly more than your bill. I had so many people tell me that was too much to pay for an "old" dog with advanced arthritis in that leg. I do not regret it. It seems incredible grass seeds could have done that, but his recovery is also remarkable and I am sure he feels so much better. Thank you for the update on Lobo and continued good wishes for him and you! Ask those who have obviously all the compassion of dead slugs... if they would spend $1400 on a child.....or them slves.. or their kin.... ....and if they say "Yes! but Lobo is only a dog..." I will personally walk to your home... and give you the second of 2 pick axe handles I have... and we can re-arrange some "thoughts". I am NOT normally a violent person... but that just brings out a really nasty side of me. We love you MammaA.. for loving and caring.. and giving Lobo the love back he has given you........ Never second guess the choice you made to help Lobo. It's only money and when you die you don't get to take it with you so you might as well spend it on your "little boy" who needed your help to get better. My momma racked up huge bills trying to get me better and she would have done a kidney transplant in a heart beat but her credit card was maxed out plus it wasn't an option for me. Enjoy every second you get with Lobo and don't let anyone try to tell you that you were crazy. Maybe those who say such things have never experienced a true bond that some of us have made with our four legged friends. All these comments on my diary should be DIARY PICKS! Thank you so much from all of us! The kitties, Mom and me. Mom teared up a bit when she read them. Mom just got home from the second half of her work shift. I had obviously moved around in the basement, as stuff was unplugged and her bicycle was knocked over. Otherwise, all was well! We went for a cool walk in the dark. I'm still doing really good and very happy. Up the stairs, no problem. Mom takes the cone off while she can keep an eye on me. So far, I have not been fussing with my incision. But, for this first week, when she is not around, I will have to wear the cone. If I do rip out my staples, Mom told me she has a staple gun. JUST KIDDING! Love, Lobo & Mom I just ate, Mom will take me out once more for a chance at bodily functions, then we will all go to sleep. I will have to wear my cone, drat. a walk sounds fun!!! weez is praying fur him!! Lobo, tell your momma not to listen to these people that truly do not understand the unconditional love of a pet. We stick with our owners and love them through everything. Who is to say what is "too much". You cant put a $ on love! My pawrents have spent close to $4000 on my back surgery and at the time didnt have it, but came up with it and they have never regretted it one time! Just take it easy so you can heal up!
