Birthday: March 2nd 2007 Likes: Gigi loves table scraps, wide open spaces and being under the covers at night. Pet-Peeves: She's protective of her yard and does not like the rain. Favorite Toy: Tearing apart stuffed animals is a favorite - no matter who they belong to. Favorite Food: Bacon! Also, vanilla ice cream. Favorite Walk: My parents' home up north where there aren't any fences. Best Tricks: She'll start to shake like she's cold and starving when she begs. Arrival Story: We became interested in the breed once we saw one at our mall. After a lot of research we visited a few breeders. Although Brad warned me ahead of time that it was asking for trouble, he fell in love with her during our visit and we took her home, right away, at 8 weeks.
Gigi participated in the Mutt March of 07, raising over $100 for the Humane Society. Thank you, everyone who donated!
Our little boston (runt of the litter, she never grew more than 15 lbs) wants to be with us every minute of the day. She is allergic to grass (some redness on her belly after long naps outside) but it doesn't seem to matter. Gigi is high-energy, always wanting to explore or play tug-of-war. If you are considering a boston terrier, be aware that they demand a lot from you! Bio: I'm a member at the Live Journal community Boston Buddies and have really enjoyed the shared experiences with this absolutely incredible breed. As she grows I'll surely be snapping photos and trying to keep this up-to-date. Forums Motto: Geeboo The Groups I'm In: *Michigan PupPals*, Boston Terrier, Boston Terrier Bostons r Us, Lyon Oaks Dog Park, Northville Community Park Dog Park, Pawsatively Bostylicious, The Michigan Humane Society The Last Forum I Posted In: Gigi will be at the mega march!
Life has changed forever. At first I thought they had only let her inside by accident or that maybe we were just watching her for a while. Then she never went home.
There is another dog in the house. It's fun, sometimes, but I am not convinced that she is the best thing for us. She takes my toys, chews all of the bones and pushes her way into my spots.
She also makes Autumn very mad. I don't like it when people are upset. She clearly doesn't understand a thing being said. They call her Duchess, which is kind of stupid, because she isn't refined or the least bit accomplished.
Also, she is a pig.
Maybe this is all part of winter blues. I miss the grass in my back yard. Maybe Duchess will run away.
Some good news is that there is a space heater in the office and I just have to plop down on the floor in order to get comfortable. The new house, which I don't think I've mentioned, is also the coolest thing.
Everyone had me on their Xmas list! I got clothes, treats and toys - my favorite thing of all is the LASER POINTER! HOLY GOD I LOVE TO CHASE THAT RED DOT. I understand that there is no magic involved (my owners control it with a plastic thing) but knowing the secret doesn't spoil my fun. In fact, I'm glad to know how it works because otherwise I might become fixated on other reflective lights, just waiting for them to happen.
Family trips, bonfires, digestible bones - what a great year. Here is to more of the same!
I thought the dog park was cool but I had no idea that another county park could be so much fun! It seems that I enjoy exploring with my family more than I do, just hanging around with so many other dogs. Besides, a lot of dogs at the park need to learn proper manners - I get really annoyed with the mindless pouncing and slobbering.
Life is the same as always, filled with big perks like family visits and little perks like riding along to the drive-through and back. I ate part of a tennis ball some weeks back and, luckily, puked it right back up so that it wouldn't harm me.
I got a new plush bed that's pink - but I'd rather it was a stuffed toy. In fact I just pretend that it is. It chews up all the same. What else? The girl found me a squeaky plush named Bruce Woofless, modeled after one of her Hollywood heroes. He lasted about 20 seconds. There is no hero like my Boy, anyway. He's the best.
Lots of attention, lots of toys, not enough scraps, but lots of love. Life is pretty sweet.
