Arrival Story:
I walked in to our local Gas Station on day and found the man behind the counter talking on the phone about some puppies. As soon as he got off the phone I asked him about this, and he showed me some photos. His girl friends chihuahua and his chihuahua had mated. Both were from good blood lines, but this was not supposed to have happened. They just wanted to get rid of them, for free. So I agreed to take a puppy. I was told I would get which ever one was left, as I was the last person in line to get one. Sure enough, 6 weeks later I received the last puppy they had. It was Holly Bug. I even received her papers. It was just my luck, Holly Bug, turned out to be the only tea-cup sized puppy out of the whole lot. She only weighs 3lbs and 11oz. The folks I got her from offered to take her back, but NOT a snow balls chance in hell. LOL I love her to pieces.

Bio:
Six months later, Holly Bug, woke me up one night by licking my face and jumping on me. As I woke up I noticed that I did not feel to well. A quick check of my blood pressure showed it to be dangerously high. I had forgotten to take my meds. A few weeks later the same thing happened. That time I had forgotten to take my Diabetes Meds. and my Blood Sugar was unbelieveably high. Since then I have come to rely on her to let me know when there is danger. I have also been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. Holly Bug has woken me several times, when I stopped breathing. She is a God sent and truly a life saver.

Mommy has not kept up the dairy page for me. But here is the latest scoop. About two months ago I became offical. Yup, I'm a registered Service Dog now. So now, I get to go everywhere with my mommy.

It is really fun too. People always make such a fuss over me, because they say they have never seen such a little service dog before. Geeze, where have these people been hiding. I know for a fact I'm not the only Chihuahua Service Dog around.

Oh, and my mommy is now helping my best friend, Padmé's, mommy train her too. It is so much fun to go places together with, Padmé, and her mommy and mine. Also, Padmé's, little sister, 2-D, is now being trained as a service dog too. Man do we have fun together.

Did I mention that we moved to South Georgia. Yup, we now live in Albany. Now we are close to mommy and daddy's daughter and son in law. They have a Chihuahua too. His name is Sebastian. He is Padmé and 2-D's daddy, and one hunk of a man. Next time I go in heat, I'm going to walk right up to him and let him sniff my.... bleep......... rest of dairy entry sensored.

New Tricks for me

Boy has it been hot lately. But my mommy keeps it nice and cool inside the house. Sometimes it is too cool inside the house, so that I have to wear a t-shirt or I'll start to shiver. But hey, that's just my breed.

Anyway, mommy has been faithfully training me to be a service dog. I do really good with come, sit, stay, shake... you know, the basic stuff. Well, I still don't get the whole stay thing yet, but I'm working on it.

When it comes to letting mommy know about her blood sugar levels and blood pressure, heck that's easy. I just bark at her and scratch her legs till she checks it. Same to get her to take her pills. Sometimes I think she just does not take them, so she can wait for me to tell her to take them. (Little hussy)

My latest trick is, singing. I really like that one. Mommy starts to sing this one really silly song, and boy howdy does mommy ever sound bad. So, I have to help her out. It is really fun when I howl along. And when I do, she praises me and gives me hugs and kisses. Can't beat that, right?

Now that I have learned not to bark at strangers (so loud, I still grund a bit) I have been allowed to come allong to a few places already. The other day I got to go in to Kroger with her, and she said I did real good. I don't know why she made such a fuss, all I did was sit in my spot and watch things go by.

Oh, and get this, I got to go with her in to the video store too. But I got in trouble there. Some lady came very close to me and I barked at her and scared here, because she did not know I was there. Mommy, said I'm not allowed to bark at people when she is carrying me. He he he... it was kind of funny to see that lady jump though when I scared here (insert little develish grin here)

Anyway, I'll let you all know how my training as a Medical Alert Service Dog is coming along. I hope that Mommy can get me certified one day. That way she will be able to take me everywere with her.

Sniff ya' later
