People, he was such a show off. Learning new tricks, because that also meant lots of treats. Swimming, running, and chasing the cats were just a few of his other favorite hobbies

Thunderstorms! Other dogs and small animals, "grrrrr"

Squeaky toys

Favorite Food:
Hot dogs on the grill, he would sit and watch them cook

Why walk? When you can run!

Best Tricks:
Bang -- I would point my finger at him, say "bang," then he would fall over and play dead

Arrival Story:
After our 14 year old german shepherd M.J passed away, we were devastated. A little over a year had went by when we decided to start looking for another dog. We looked in the local paper and saw an add that caught our attention right away. The next morning, we got in touch with the owners and arranged to go see them the following night. When we arrived, a lady showed us back to the kennel. There were five puppies, including the mother inside. She went in and brought us the first puppy, a small tan and white female. We asked to see another, so she brought out the next, a big brown fur ball. We held him up infront of the light to get a better look, and he made the cutest little grunting noise. She asked if I would like to see the others, but I already knew he was the one!

Bio:
Bandit was highly active, goofy, and hard headed. He thought he was a lap dog, and played a little too rough sometimes. He was also an escape artist, there wasn't anything he couldn't eventually get out of, which usually meant hurting himself in the process. Our vet recommended different ways to keep him occupied, one being an obedience class, which we took him to. Once that was completed, he was enrolled in a clicker training class called, "Clicks N' Tricks." He passed both with flying colors, and was top of his class. He was a totally different dog once treats were introduced. His attention span was no longer than 5 seconds and everything was done on HIS time, so it was a challenge for both of us. I cherish the time I spent with him, and some days, I don't know how I ever lived through it! He gave me a run for my money, that's for sure

Rainbow Bridge:
Bandit was terrified of thunderstorms. The vet prescribed pills for this problem which worked wonders. But, the night of his death we were about 45 minutes from home when it began storming. We rushed home to find Bandit out of the kennel, running around the yard. In the process of trying to catch him, he crossed the road.. our hearts dropped. Unfortunately, he didn't make it back across. R.I.P baby boy, we miss you very much

This is a new game I found, anyone is welcome to use this
The rules are simple. Each angel is to write one fact for each year you were alive. You can write about anything (good experiences, bad habits, likes, dislikes, ect.)

Let's get started..

1. My breed was unknown, I'm said to have alaskan husky, siberian husky, and wolf in me
2. I got the name "Bandit" because of the black rings around my eyes, who knew it would fit me so well, hehe. They only called me that if I was in trouble, which well, I usually was :)
3. Any other time, I was referred to as, "Bam-Bam."
4. I was taken out of this world way too early. I was hit by a truck at the age of 4 years old, thankfully I was killed instantly and didn't have to suffer

A Dog Sits Waiting
"A dog sits waiting in the cold autumn sun
Too faithful to leave, too frightened to run

He's been here for days now with nothing to do
But sit by the road waiting for you

He can't understand why you left him that day
He thought you and he were stopping to play

He's sure you'll come back, and that's why he stays
How long will he suffer? How many days?

His legs have grown weak, his throat's parched dry
He's sick now from hunger and falls, with a sigh

He lays down his head and closes his eyes
I wish you could see how a waiting dog dies"

I Only Wanted You

"They say memories are golden
Well that may be true
But I never wanted memories
I only wanted you

A million times I've needed you
A million times I've cried
If love alone could save you
You never would have died

In life I loved you dearly
In death I love you still
In my heart you hold a place
No one could ever fill

If tears could build a stairway
And heartache make a lane
I'd walk the path to heaven
And bring you back again

Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one
The chain will link again"
