I have to say, I know I'm coming up on just 6 months old, but I have a lot of luv that surrounds me! Mommy introduced me to a lot of friends and family, and I just can't get enough of all that good luvin!
It's been a little while since I've written in my diary, so I have lots to catch you up on.
I went through a big bout of kennel cough, which quickly turned into pneumonia! I contracted this highly contagious infection when I was seen for my first checkup. It's something that is contagious among other doggies, and I caught it pretty good since I had such a young immune system. I was awfully sick for a while, but I got the best care imaginable at Four Paws at Four Points Veterinary. Dr. Gill and the staff gave me all sorts of TLC when I'd come in for my antibiotic injections. They even called me quite the "Lady"! So you'll be happy to know that I'm as healthy as a horse (well, a miniature horse anyway), and have been for a good 3 weeks now.
Mommy and I start puppy training Wednesday night. Boy, oh boy...that's going to be FUN! I'll get to learn so many new things. Right now, I can "sit", "come" and I love, Love, LOVE to play FETCH with anyone that will play with me.
I went back to the vet this morning and received my second round of vaccines, so I'm all current and up to date! I also went from weighing 6lbs. 2 oz. last month to weighing 8 lbs. 4 oz. now!
Tonight, I get to go over to my Granny Barbara's this evening to meet my new pup pals, Katie and April. I can't wait to get to know them (by means of sniffing them out to my hearts content, of course)! I'm also hoping for a lot of future play time with them!
I'm doing so well with my potty training. Being that I'd never stepped foot indoors until mommy adopted me and brought me home, I've only had a few accidents, but I'm mastering communition with Mommy when I need to be let out.
I never knew my heart was big enough to receive so much love. It seems to get bigger every day, I can just feel it! I have to be one of the luckiest pups to have so many friendly people in my life. Who knew there was so much love to go around?

How fun!! My good pup pal, Lily tagged me today!!! Want to play???
Here are the rules!!
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged need to post the rules & their 7 pawsome facts in their Diary. Then they choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a pawmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary, or, send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!
Here are my seven facts:
1) I live in the Austin, TX.
2) I was rescued by a lady in Missouri from a puppy mill and mommy found me listed by her on petfinder.com!
3) I enjoyed going to my basket of toys and taking out all of my toys, so that they're scattered all over the living room.
4) I can walk upstairs (I've completely mastered that), but am too scared to attempt walking down them!
5) I can sleep through the entire night from 10:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. w/o having to go potty. Heck, mommy even has to wake me up!
6) I haven't met a stranger yet. I love giving love (and lick kisses) to everyone I meet!
7) I've discovered my bark and have learned to sit and to come. Still working on those other "tricks" mom keeps talking about.
I now tag these 7 dogs:
Max
Lela
Candi
Lord Bentley Balboa
Hoover
Lela
Jake
Many Licks,

Well, my battle with pneumonia is coming to an end...woohoo! Some of you know that I developed kennel cough, which quickly turned into pneumonia. It sure was scary, and it worried mommy big time! After several visits to the vet over the last few weeks, (and having an IV catheter for antibiotics) I'm back to my spunky, healthy self!
Mommy can tell a huge improvement, and I'm not coughing anymore, nor am I congested. Nothing beats feeling 100%, and I sure love playing with my toys again! And I'm back to running to the sliding glass door, barking at my reflection, and then running back. Sure continues to give mommy the giggles!
I noticed something was different this morning. Instead of mom's usual routine of getting up and ready for work, she was filling several bags with her clothes. I get the feeling she's going somewhere, so I sure clung to her this morning.
I'm not much liking this rainy weather. It's been coming down hard, and it makes for some wet ground outside, which isn't fun for pottying!
Well, until next time, I wish you all a woofin' good Memorial Day Weekend!
Many licks & barks,
~Dix
