Arrival Story:
Shasta comes from the same puppymill as Kaluha. We were supposed to pick her up when we got him, but she came into heat. The miller had tried unsuccessfully to breed her in the past, but decided to try again, so we could not take her with us. When we went to get her, the miller held her up and said "She's a little heavy, do you think she's pregnant?" Linda was so brave. She picked up Shasta and put her in the crate without an answer. We don't yet know if little Shasta is pregnant or not, but if she is, there is a possibility thet Kaluha is the father. She is a sweet little girl who is so excited to have friendly hands to pet her and good food to eat. May 8-She started having puppies at 6 oclock this morning. i didn't expect that until after sge went to rescue. I screamed like a little girl and ran out of the room. Mu husband delivered 3 puppies for miss Shasta. They will all be going to the main rescue on friday!

Bio:
Twin Tiers Rescue is a small group of people helping displaced dogs find new, loving homes. We want every applicant to understand the responsibilities involved in caring for a pet. It is a lifetime commitment and many pets live 16 to 20+ years. Dogs are pack animals and bond with their human family and need to be treated as a member of the family. Fees vary by age and dog but a general guideline is: Puppies and young dogs $250-325, Adult Dogs $175-250, Seniors/special needs (9 yrs & up) $100-150. All dogs are spayed/neutered and vaccinated prior to adoption placement. Some have had additional needed medical treatment/procedures done. For an application, please email: sue4nepekes@yahoo.com For more information on Twin Tiers Rescue, see: http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/ PA229.html
