Eeek! What's going on in here?!

I've been busy sleeping, I can't believe I have to get up for this! (bleck!)

So senior life has gotten kind of cruddy of late. Too many aches and pain for my liking. Are any of you old farts having any problems getting around?
I've had to brush my teeth more cause my mouth has been declared a toxic waste dump by my moms (what does she know?) I can only play for 20 minutes a day instead of run around for hours cause I have to nap. I end up spending my nights licking my arms for soreness (need my glucosamine). I pinched a nerve in my neck from jumping all over the place and I had to go to the stupid vet to get me some sedatives (crap). My gut is no longer tight and sexy and hangs down like a sad sack (so cruel). My body has sprouted some suspicious looking old man bumps that everyone likes to point out (so mean). My face is becoming more and more grey as the months past (why oh why).
For goodness sakes, I don't even like going on long walks anymore! What is up with that! I loved long walks, what is happening to me! Seriously!
To the delight of everybody, I've also become more snuggley and cuddley. I am clingy when I'm awake, if I see you leave the room I'll run after you. I want to lay on your chest and kiss your face and be with you all the time. I've turned into a right softie in my old age.
At least I'll still bark at anyone who comes to the door. Can't loose that charming aspect of my personality.

Ack! What happened?!?

Oh noes!

What has happened to my summer? It was just here a moment ago while I was enjoying my sun bath. Now I'm being told that the leaves will start falling (what?) and its time to go back to school (No way!) and its time to think about what to be for Halloween (Oh god no!).

I am very bummed out about these turn of events but my people had a fun weekend planned to celebrate the end of summer. We started out having a BBQ Kebabs and Sci-Fi movie marathon on one night and some peoples showed up to eat my meats :(. Then the next day while I sunned myself the people went to a festival that didn't allow dogs (boo!) but when they got there it was crawling with dogs (how rude!) They ate or at least thats what they told me and it was really hot. The next day was better cause we got to walk around Golden Gate Park and sniff new bushes and afterwards we went to the worst place on earth, the Beach (shudder). I was attacked by 50 foot waves that tried to drag me out to sea. I hate water, did I mention that?! Afterwards the people thought that I needed more water and took me to another horrible place called Pet Food Express where I was wetted again and soaped. Then they turned the blower on me and I tried to bite that wicked air! It wouldn't stop so we went home. But the best part is when I got a brand new Bully bone when we got home.

Phew! What a weekend. I hope we never do that again D:

I'm totally bummed.

Remember that holiday I said I was gonna go on? Turns out it didn't happen. I was supposed to go for a weekend visit to see my bestest friend in the whole wide world. Her name is Kirby and I love her cause I grew up with her and she is the only nice dog I know. She's 16 years old and is not in the best shape anymore cause of the bad food that was going around. I miss her a lot and I wished I got to see her. Hopefully I'll get to go for a short visit soon.

My Dave went away for 5 days on a vacation to Portland for some computery thing. And it was just me, Fisher dog and the woman for the whole time. But I did get to sleep in a lot and sun bathe whenever I wanted. I would stay up late and played while the woman ate popcorn and watched crappy movies. By the end of teh 5 days I was used to My Dave being gone. But as soon as he came through the front door I was all over him like white on rice.

Today I'll talk about another one of my favorite things. Scratches, but not just any old scratches. The kind of scratches that make your arms flail, legs kick, tongue flutter, eyes roll and turn your brain inside out. My Dave is one of only a handful of people that know where my "special spots". I really like it when he works on the area behind my neck where my collar sometimes rests but what really gets me going is scratches to my tummy (right next to my no-no-special place). I love those scratches so much that I don't even notice when my tumbly is bright red.

This dog journal is supposed to be a weekly thing...So I've been busy, wanna fight about it!?

The week was mostly uneventful with very little going on except the few walks i've been on when I became painfully paranoid because I swear I heard the unmistakable tinkle of dog tags in the distance. I'm still trying to find out who that was.

I also dodged the bullet when My Dave forgot all about my grooming appointment last week. Victory! Mom was disappointed because she thinks I smell and look like an unruly animal. Jokes on her cause...I AM!

I've decided to talk to you about my favorite things. Not because I want to share but because I have them and you can't get them. First things first, I love my Bully Bones! They smell wonderful despite what My Dave says about them. Fisher dog gets them too but when he's not looking I sneak by and steal them. I don't care if they are 3 inches long or 2 feet long. They are all great and delicious and I can't get enough of them!
The other thing I loves is my Loofah Dogs! They make the best noises when I tear into them like a fiend. They really get me all riled up with I see their sassy faces, it makes me want to bite, bite, bite, and bite some more. I think I've destroyed 6 of them so far. This weekend Mom and My Dave talked about this Loofah Dog at Pet Club that is a "giant" Loofah Dog. I don't care how big it is, I will totally dominate those Loofahs!

Oh, and also I started getting cottage cheese in my dinner cause Mom said I need more calcium. Any new food in my life is always welcomed.

Well, that's it. I hope to have more fun stuff next week to talk about. I might being going on a little holiday this coming weekend.

Life isn't fair.

This week sucked so bad. I felt my age for the first time when I hurt myself when I missed my jump on to the bed. For the rest of the week I walked around like a drunken puppy. I couldn't walk a straight line. I could jump onto the couch. I'd fall over if I wanted to pee or poop. It was so hard to walk up and down stairs. Mom thought I was so pitiful that she carried me where ever she went. I was really frustrated.

My Dave got freaked out and I had to go to the V-E-T and they poked my butt and took my blood, which I need!

The Fisher dog stayed out of my way, which was good cause I was in a bad mood!

Dang it! I'm not supposed to be old.

I'm not really all that new to this internet thing. You can see some of my past awesomeness on MOG.COM/KIRINDAVE where for a whole year I was working hard as the residential Mog Dog. I made sure everyday the internets were up and running, that everyone at the office made sure to acknowledge me, I taste tested all lunches before they were eaten, I protected the office from intruders, the music played was good, and made sure Dave stayed on task. It was a lot of fun but now I'm considering retirement. It was hard at first having to adjust to not going to work. But now I can spend my days at home laying the under the sun asleep. I just wish I got that "rat" at that race that everyone talked about...
