To be with me at all times
Being left at home
I was visiting family friends up in the Sierra's and someone had left this dog with them to babysit, only the owners never came back. My friends were going to take her to animal control as they couldn't keep her. Knowing the area, this was not the type dog that would get adopted - she wasn't a hunting dog. So I told them I'd take her back down to college with me and find her a home. Well that dog had other ideas and by the time I returned to college a week later, there was no way I was going to part with her. Her whole life she had seperation anxiety, always afraid she would be deserted again. She would constantly escape from home and follow my trail to school to the building doorway of my first class. Having no way to get to me, she would go to my office (I worked part time on campus), get up on my desk and not allow anyone to take so much as a paper clip off my desk. They would have to entice her into a back room and lock her in until I got out of class. After I graduated, she and I move to the Midwest where my parents had moved. Immediately she won over my parents and when I moved away to a new job, she spent the rest of her happy life with my parents.
I could take her into someone's home and she would sit at my feet until she was given permission to wander around ~ just the perfect lil lady. If you pointed across a doorway and told her no, she would not enter that room through that doorway. She was also very protective of me. As a child we had many family dogs but Spud was the first dog of my own. I still have many fond memories of our time together; the summers we spent in the Sierras working in a summer camp to our quieter moments at home.

IT'S THANKSGIVING TAG!!!!
Here are the rules:
Because it’s Thanksgiving time, there is a change to the rules. Each player needs to tell seven special things they are thankful for. Tagged dogs must post the rules in their diary and their 7 things. Then choose 7 pups to tag and list their names. Let them know by pawmail or rosette that they have been tagged and to read your diary for the instructions on how to play.
Seven Things I’m Thankful For:
1. I’m thankful for my mom who still loves and thinks about me. She even found more pictures of me today!
2. I’m thankful that mom has 4 kitties to care for and love as she loved me.
3. I’m thankful that I got to go almost everywhere with mom, even her summer camp job.
4. I’m thankful that mom let me live with her parents rather than confine me to a small apartment.
5. I’m thankful that mom wanted me to cross the bridge with grandpa and all the other family pups.
6. I’m thankful for all my angel furriends.
7. I’m thankful to have a Dogster pal like Mr Spud!
