Chrysie is a true mothering dog, if she hears anyone cry; dog, child, adult, she has to run to them right away and see if they are ok. She takes care of everyone in the family, and would have been a great mom to puppies! :)

Chrysie's In a Better Place

Today, May 12/09 was a very sad day, because our little Chrysie passed on to a much better place, where she isn't suffering in pain any longer.

After suddenly becoming sick over a week ago, we found out she was in advanced kidney failure, among some other problems with pancreas, liver & enlarged heart. It happened so fast, the vet did everything she could, but even with all of our TLC, it was too late. She couldn't keep any food or water down, lost most of her body weight, and was too weak to walk very far, except for yesterday.

She must have known it was almost the end, because she wanted to stay outside longer, plus she walked from one end of the large backyard to the other and back. Amazing for a little dog with little muscle left.

It's crazy how much one little dog meant to all of us in our family, as well as her 2 best friends, Cookie & Jewel, who will miss her with all their hearts. We will never forget you, or ever stop loving you, Chrysie-Poo!
