Arrival Story:
We became Awesome's family when he was 8 weeks old. We had tried to adopt a dog, but because we have young children we were denied over and over again! One day while picking up the youngest at school I heard this small whining coming from the boys and girls club area. There in the back were three little pups! Awesome was the oldest of his litter. He nearly jumped right out of the box when he saw my youngest child. He's been our family member ever since. He is so smart and loving! He is looking for playmates in or around our area that like to play nice! Awesome is my constant companion. If he can't come with me we just don't go!
Bio:
Awesome graduated from Puppy training school. He is a very smart puppy and knows lots of tricks. As of May 2007 Awesome has learned to stay at the window or sofa when I have to leave and doesn't cry for long once I am gone. My husband says he gets very depressed when I leave and that He tries to cheer him up, but all Awesome wants to do is sit at the window and wait. He is never left alone because My husband and I work for ourselves from our home and if one of us aren't there We have teenaged children to puppysit. But for the most part Awesome comes with me everywhere and loves it. He absolutely loves almost everyone! There has been a few people that he has growled or barked at, But dogs can tell who they trust and don't trust so I believe he must have a good reason for that barking.

While listening to a local radio station this morning www.wdst.com This radio DJ was running a contest ,The first caller happened to be a man who lost his great dane,The man sounded elderly and very distraught! He did somewhat clearly say that he had lost his great dane on baumgarten road off 212 The DJ turned to him and said "We arent helping anyone right now" and took him off the air! you can email or call the radio station to complain of this mans treatment ,I have and am posting this to all the dog sites I belong to,My husband is checking the local shelter and hopefully we can find info on the dogs owner !
EDIT
I just heard an update on the radio station ,And although I seemed to have misqouted the DJ As he so cleverly joked about,The man with the lost dog called the radio station back and the radio station made an announcement about the dog!

I am sorry we have not been on lately ,So many things have happened at our house this summer ,My human Sister Prudence lost a very dear friend ,Evan Marshall Wisniewski died in his sleep on 6/14/08, he was only 15 yrs old ,Mommy has been trying to help his Mommy to get the word out and get this petition signed ,The site to sign the petition for methadone overdose is here http://www.thepetitionsite.com/petition/472711451
It only takes a few minutes and it can be as private as you want no need to leave names or emails on the address board forum ,It would mean alot to us if we could get the signatures needed on this to send this petition to washington DC .I know its not animal related but its family related so I just wanted to try and help get these signatures

So I know thats a lot of money ,I also know that other pups have spent lots more than me ,especially the ones that played the anonymous rosette game !! So is it only me whos bothered that a human can spend this amount of money on a website and not be able to post about a rescue group? Now this diary entry will probably get kicked but I have it on my personal webpages on the internet and dogster cant kick it off there ! anyone with my humans personal email address can feel free to email for more info.Good luck all you dogs staying on Dogster ,I myself will be on the world wide web for free!
