Jake was rescued by Angels of the Snow Rescue group down on Cape Cod, MA. (angelsofthesnow.com). He was 2 days away from being put to sleep. I offered to foster him until a good forever home could be found. I found out afterwards that Jake was kept in the house 24/7. He was never let outside. We were also told he had bad hips. I had xrays done and come to find out, he had blown both acl's years ago and they were never fixed. Poor little guy. Angels of the Snow are trying to raise money to have surgery for him. UPDATE - JUNE 2011 - HEARD FROM A YOUNG LADY DOWN IN FLORIDA WHO HAD TRACKED ME DOWN VIA JAKE'S MICROCHIP INFO. SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE HAD ADOPTED JAKE ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND HE WAS HAVING SEVERE HIP PROBLEMS. SAYS THAT HE IS A WONDERFUL BOY AND HIS NEW NAME IS VUK. I WAS SO HAPPY SHE GOT IN TOUCH WITH ME - I WAS HAPPY TO HEAR HE WAS STILL ENJOYING LIFE. SADLY IN LATE JULY 2011, VUK WAS SENT TO HEAVEN DUE TO HIS SEVERE HIP PROBLEMS. GODSPEED SWEET BOY - I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU AND LOVE YOU.
