1st Qualifying Ribbon

Hi everybody! So Belle and I went to our first AKC show and participated in Rally and Obedience (both Novice level). We BOMBED the obedience class, but we QUALIFIED in our Rally class. Out of 100 points we left the ring with 90 points. It was very windy out and since it was an outdoor trial Belle was doing a lot of ground scenting and that's where we lost a few points for slow response on her part, but she's a lab that's trained for bird hunting so it was hard to mad at her. Most of all we had FUN!! Two more ribbons and we have our first title!!!!! Our next show (also AKC circuit) is June 2nd.

Missed Deadline

Well, I missed the registration deadline for Belle to actually compete in rally this past weekend, but we did go as onlookers. We had a great time interacting with some of the other dogs and their owners and picked up some great tips for our next show. Belle will be competing in Rally and Obedience in an AKC show on May 19th. From what we observed this past weekend we truly hope to earn some qualifying scores!! Belle loves the ring and shows it off!

We even went back on Sunday to watch some more and took Jake to socialize as well. He's a little tough since he likes to bark at EVERYONE with four legs :)

Getting Ready

Mommy is getting me ready for my first Rally Trials next weekend, May 5th. Our practice signs are almost all laminated and we're freshening up this week. I think it will be fun!!
