Arrival Story:
I lost my beautiful "Shy" to cancer on March 17th 2007. I was out of town right after it happened and I called my friend just sobbing so hard and telling her I have to have another one just like "Shy" and she needed to find me one NOW!! She's my best friend and I love her to death; she tried to calm me to no avail. She sent me the Petfinder Link with Georgia's info. I applied for her and within a month I flew to Kansas to pick her up.

Bio:
I picked her up on April 21st 2007. She's adjusting well. Being the smallest of my four and being a female, she has established herself as "Top Dog". She is being spoiled and pampered and I call her "Miss Diva".

Well it's been over a year. Geogia gravitated to China and he was her safety net when she arrived. He passed away unexpectedly a few months ago due to conjestive heart failure. I have been patiently waiting for Georgia to finally give me a chance and trust me a little. I never crowded her, just petted her and told her I loved her and how beautiful she was and of course gave her her morning treats. For the longest time she would sit next to me and just stare. All the others would climb on top of me when I sat down and find a comfortable spot.

So....the last couple of months she has wanted to cuddle with her mama. It is just the sweetest thing. I feel like I won the lotto. Georgia finally trusts me and loves me even though I am a human!! Yipee!!!!

OK, I think I like it here. It took me a little while to figure it out. I snuggle with everyone now but my favorite is still China and Sassy. I sleep on the bed next to China every night. Sometimes my new Mama snuggles with me and puts me under the covers but I wiggle all the way down to the end and Mama thinks I can't breath. I love treat time and when Mama comes home from work (probably because that is right before I go outside and have another treat time) Everyone loves me a whole lot and I guess I'm starting to love everyone right back.

OK.....I think I like it here.

I am bonding pretty well with EVERYONE. My new Mama wished I was bonding more with her than with all the furbabies but I keep telling her "give me some time; I've kind of been through a lot". My favorite thing in my new home is these very comfortable doggy beds. I didn't want to share at first but now that its been a couple of weeks, I think I like the snuggles of Teddy, Henry, Sassy, China and Topsy. China and Sassy are pretty cool. In the morning everyone comes up to me to sniff me and say good morning. It sure is nice to have a big family who cares so much about me. Oh and I went to the vet and my blood work and x-ray came back and the vet said it all looked beautiful just like me.
