So let's see well my girl's new years resolution was to start walking me everyday. And she is doing pretty good. She doesn't walk me everyday but she walks me 5-6 times a week. Weekends I have noticed give her trouble, but school days she is out there and walking me, unless it is raining. My girl says that she prefers to walk in the cold, I think I feel the same way we have had the temps up in the 80s already and man, heat can wear you out fast.
I have also been put on a new dry food. The girl took me to Petco about a month ago and we started looking at the brands of food for me. The girl's mom was surprised by how much food there was, or the variety anyway. I loved being in the Wellness isle. I jumped on the bags of food and was sniffing them like crazy. The girl looked at the ingrediants on a 3 lb page of Wellness Core and liked what it was made of and decided to get me that. The girl's mom looked at a 12 lb bag and got me that instead. The girl had to pay for half of it, but it least she didn't have to pay for all of it.
I'm not to crazy about my new food. And the worst part is the girl has stopped giving me wet food since it is worse then my new food. She can't exactly put m on a schedule since then I would just eat the cat's food, so mine is left out all the time and sometimes I eat it sometimes I don't. I used to be on Kibbles N' Bits so there had been a big change in what I eat there. The war of food continues...
Hmm the girl noticed that I had been shredding toys like crazy and then chewing on the outside of them like a bone. So it was off to Petco again. She bought me three rewhide bones and I was happy to have something to chew on. She also bought me a new collar, leash, tag for the collar, and some poop bags.
She bought me all that stuff at the end because her grandmother said that her and her cousin could come with her when they traveled the western part of the country. Like California, Arizona, Texas (I think), and a couple of others. We would also end up going to Canada. I am allowed to go, but right now the girl is rethinking whether I should or not. I hope I can, but it is up to the girl. If she says no, I'm going to miss her like crazy, she is going to be gone for about 30 days...
So lets see, since the new year my girl has been walking me daily. And I am really proud of her for that. That was her New Year's resolution, and so far besides this weekend she has stuck to it. I don't know what happened this weekend. But she got her butt up and walked me today and there was snow on the ground, which is unusual for Memphis. Also on January 18 (I think) I got a new boyfriend. ♥ His name is Blade and he is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
So leading up to that is me getting tagged, by of course Blade:
So I have to say 7 things about me:
1. I love swimming, but haven't gone in forever. =(
2. The girl is convinced that I think I am part cat.
3. I like to race cars, but I stay on the sidewalk when I do.
4. I got to smell a roadkill rabbit today. We live in the city so that was wierd.
5. My girl's ringtone for people she doesn't know calling is me barking. xD
6. I came to my forever home on April Fools
7. My favorite way to sleep is between my girl's legs, but I often get moved.
I tag:
1. Decker
2. Hedwig
3. Buddy
4. Sammie Boy
5. Ginger *Tawnyclaw*
6. Scruffy
7. Rocky (In Loving Memory)
Well I haven't posted a diary entry in forever! But, my girl finally got Maya's boy to agree to let her meet Baby Girl (did that confuse you?). He only did that because he was trying to convince the other neighbor that her dog had met Maya before. (now I know you have to be confused) The other dogs name is Bella (she is a golden mix).
So we had Bella, and all of a sudden Maya's boy said "Let me go get Maya she's met Bella before." Well Bella's owner is scared of Maya for some strange reason, so she tried her hardest and tried every excuse to keep Maya away. First she said "I haven't seen them two meet yet,"(the sister had let them meet) and then she tried "Well, what do you think?" (talking to my girl). Well, my girl has been trying to get Maya's boy to let Maya and Baby meet for awhile since she thought they would get along, and love playing, so she turned on Bella's owner and said if you let Maya meet Baby Girl then you can bring her (either way she was saving Bella's human from her fear, or getting what she wanted)
My girl was so stunned that he said yes. =0 Personally, I was too. I mean by this point I was getting used to playing with my two best friends separately. So he ran in and grabbed Maya while Bella, our girls, and I walked down towards my house. Maya was already out and running down the street, to see me (and Bella) by the time we reached the house. Bella's human was still pretty scared so she told Maya's human to wait until my girl could help.
My girl told them to loosen the leashes and Maya ran up to Bella (who is younger than Maya by like 4 months). Bella kind of cringed and Maya stood all dominant (whether you believe in that or not), and they stood nose to nose. Well no fighting well that was wonderful! Yawn, how boring I want my best friends to meet (I don't like Bella to well she doesn't like rough housing)!
My girl was pretty pumped up about that, and she walked over and asked to "borrow" Baby Girl. Of course the owners said yes because they love for my girl to walk her. I was excited and followed her out. Maya was getting really excited too (which means a barking that sounds like screaming), and my girl thought it might have been because of me. So she put me in the house, to try and calm Maya down. =0 How unfair...
So I strained my ears on screen door, and heard Maya's continued barking, claws on the sidewalk, my adult guy's car pulling into the driveway, and just before that I heard "Des, go let Britt out, I think she won't cause anything by this point." YAY!! So after greeting My guy in his car, I went to see how everything was going.
My girl said let's lead them into the backyard and see if they will play without us being in the way with leashes, so Bella was let off, Baby Girl's was dropped, and my girl tried to persuade the boy to let Maya's drop to. Well while she was doing that Bella go scared and ran to the front yard (she didn't like Maya to well like I said) and Baby Girl followed her (she liked Bella better and was scared of Maya too), but Baby Girl jumped onto the Green Box (also called electrical boxes that say don't sit on, but everyone does anyway xD) so Maya could not reach her.
What a chicken, Bella attempted to run home and Maya tried to reach Baby Girl, but that dog can jump, and Maya can't. I just stared at Baby Girl wondering why she was up there. And then I wondered why I was the only one not scared of Maya? I mean I know Maya is big, but Baby Girl and Bella are just a few inches shorter. MAYA IS LIKE 5X's BIGGER THAN ME AND I'M NOT SCARED!?!? I don't see the sense in those dogs.
Anyway my pack went from Baby Girl, Bella, and me (pack #1)/Blue, Maya, and me (pack #2)/ and Daisy and me (pack#3).
Daisy will never have another pack besides me because no other dog can stand her (I barely can), but now I have basically one pack: Me, Maya, Baby Girl, and Bella (in that order of rank). Blue might one day join the pack, and the only reason he hasn't is because he is mean (not to dogs but humans), so Bella would never meet him.
