Apparently he and his brothers where born on the front porch of an old lady who fostered them until they were old enough to go to the rescue. When we got him he was pretty thin and had very dry skin, but he's a lot better now. My husband and I saw Ozzy's picture on the rescue website and it was love at first sight. We were looking for an energetic border collie type dog who could keep up with our high energy cross breed Freya. We went round to the rescue and when we saw him in the flesh that was it, we signed the adoption papers straight away. Bio: Ozzy is mister super sociability, always bouncing around wagging his curly tail and using his cute stare to wangle a treat or a cuddle. Lots of people who meet him comment there is 'something special' or something 'so appealing' about Ozzy. He seems to have the charisma of a rock star and endears himself to everyone by being so keen to meet them and their dogs.
Ozzy has done his puppy classes and obedience training and has his Canine Good Citizen bronze and silver levels. He enjoys fun agility and his regular play group with his friends. With his excellent canine communication skills he also occassionally helps me to rehabilitate dog reactive dogs. Forums Motto: Huggles! Love me! Hug me! Play with me!
Today was very boring. Mommy did no training with us, she sat on the computer all day 'working' she said 'on her business website'. Doesn't she know by now that her most important job is to cater to my whims?
Then...to add insult to injury...she went out to walk someone else's dogs and told me I couldn't come with because the male dog doesn't like other male dogs, hmmmph!
When she (finally) came home she promised to make it up to me tomorrow and gave me a large bone to chew on. She reminded me its my doggy play group tomorrow. I am considering forgiving her, do you think I should?
Lots of exciting stuff happening here...we've added two little dogs to the family, Arya and Fjordi. Arya is mostly just small and LOUD *giggle* but Fjordi is lots of fun to play with. Mommy and daddy adopted them because we will have so much space now we are moving...
Mommy told us all that at the end of September we are going to move down to the Natal Midlands where there will be lots and lots of room for us dogs to run and play. I know it is beautiful down there because mommy and daddy have taken us there before for the Christmas holidays. There is a big forest for us to run free in on our walks every day. Mommy says we will have a two acre garden. I have no idea how big that is but I hear its BIG! :-)
Really looking forward to moving now, how many sleeps is two months? That still seems very long.
......the big news is I am getting a new baby brother! He is a black lab and mommy and daddy have decided to name him Hagan. I haven't met him yet but I will in about a week when they bring him home...
YIPPEEE!!!!! Someone else for me to play with, I love playing with puppies. Plus now Freya and Faolan can't keep calling me the baby of the family any more *smile*
