Birthday: March 18th 2007 Likes: He loves playing with Kairi and Chansey, and loves coming to work with me. Now that I'm on night shift, he's with me almost every night at the shelter!! Pet-Peeves: Mikey, the evil sneak-out-from-under-the-bed-and-sc ratch-you cat, being left at home to sleep, and his back leg that bothers him when he is too active.. ;-( Favorite Toy: He likes any toy that dispenses food.. ha ha. He also likes his deer antlers.. don't ask.. don't tell. Favorite Food: He's a raw dieter!! Finally have him switched over from Innova. His favorite is still the raw bones we get from the butcher. Favorite Walk: Concord Pets, PetSmart, around the block, Browns Branch County Park, Killens Pond, Brecknock.. We now live withing walking distance from Brecknock, so we try to walk all three there every night. Best Tricks: Sit, catching treats, laying, begging, giving paw, and coming on command. Arrival Story: He is Chansey and Soldier's puppy. He's the one puppy out of 10 that we kept. He's a pretty quiet dog, and calm compared to his siblings. He's very friendly, and loves to sit on my lap. I was plannig on competing him in weight pulling, but due to an injury to his back leg that he sustained at 6 weeks, it would probably cause more damage to him later on. (He was hurt when Kairi fell on top of him.) We will still do light pulling with his momma, like when I finally get my dog cart. He is progressing very well in his training, and is turning out to be an awesome companion! Bio: He's Mr. Snugglebug.. loves to sleep with me. He has a habit of laying on my throat.. which isn't too comfortable!! He is a snorer.. so sometimes he keeps me awake!! He was neutered at 14 weeks, so hopefully he won't ever learn to lift his leg and mark his territory. He loves to swim, and as you can see by the video, he doesn't have the inhibitions of his mother when it comes to jumping into water.. Dock Diving, here we come! We are working through a fear period right now, where he has started barking at people. I am quite confident that he will grow out of it, as it came on very suddenly, and does not fit in with his typical personality. Forums Motto: Harness the Wind... Well.. our landlord sold the house, and the new landlord has decided that he no longer wants to rent to anyone. So, we were in a panick for abit, but mommy and daddy found us a really nice 3 bedroom house with a YARD (yay!!!) in Milford. I'm sad to see this place go, but I look forward to having the basement of the new place all to myself... well, I guess Chansey and Kairi and the ferrets can come down there too.. But we'll be able to make as much noise as we want!! YAY!
Mommy told me that we are going to be moving away from out Garage-top apartment in Harrington, to a house in Camden! She said that we'll finally have our own tub for baths, and our own kitchen where we can counter-surf to our heart's content!! We'll even have our own room!! Well, we'll still have to sleep with the cats and the ferrets, but at least when we pass the gas, we won't get in trouble!! I can't wait to move in!!!
I am sooooooo exhausted.. I thought mommy was taking me to work with her yesterday.. but then she stuffed me into a kennel.. and LEFT ME!! Mommy told me this would happen!! Then, I don't remember much after that, except I got really sleepy, and didn't wake up for a long time, and when I did.. well, let's just say that sitting wasn't too comfortable. When mommy got back to the shelter, she woke me up, wrapped me in blankets so I'd stop shivering, and put me at her feet while she typed up her paperwork. Now, she says, I'm snipped and chipped! Whatever that means... at least she let me sleep with her this morning. I guess I've got to love her again.
