Arrival Story:
Mikey and another Pei were dumped by their owner in NC in 2007 because they kept getting out of the yard. The other Pei was adopted out directly from the shelter but Mikey was brought into NASPR because he had some skin issues that needed to be dealt with. Mikey’s skin issues were dealt with and he was ready to go into a forever home after a couple weeks, but after 9 months in rescue, no one wanted him because he was too old-4 years old!!! We wanted this sweet boy to have a forever home, so after testing him out with our crew over the Christmas holiday, we decided to adopt him.
