Arrival Story: We had been looking to adopt a dog, but then we met a woman who was relocating her puppy to a new home. She was a young woman who was getting married and her circumstances didn't allow her the time to take care of a puppy. She and her boyfriend had bought "Coco" from a local pet store. Winnie, as we renamed her, came home with us the day after we talked to the woman on the phone, and she has been living here happily ever since.
Bio: Mom and I are both from Los Angeles, CA but as of August '08 Mom is now living in Central New York.
UPDATE: As of June '09 I'm living with Mom in NY. I'll be going to school with her (if clicker training counts as school, LOL)

Hey pups! I just got back from a 2-3 day trip to Palm Springs. It was nice being able to sleep on the bed for once, BOL (the humans don't let me on the bed back at home).
Anyway, I thought I'd point out that I totally saw this whole trip coming. In the past two years that I've been with Mom and Grandpa/Grandma, I've become classically conditioned to certain things when it comes to "outing". For example...
Mom + leash = Walk
Mom + leash + car keys + water bottle = Dog park, yay!
Mom + Grandma + leash = Out to eat pizza at Larchmont (which means pizza crust for me, yum!)
Mom + Grandma + Dad + leash = Out to eat brunch (this is usually on Sundays)
All the humans + my stuff + humans' luggage = Road trip, baby!
Mom + car keys + NO leash = I have to stay home. Boo :(
Well, pups, my New Year has already gotten off to a pretty rough start...
...because I got a bath today :( :(
Hope the new year is starting off better for the rest of you!
Until next time,
Winnie
P.S. Be sure to check out my Youtube page! Since Mom is on winter break and has nothing better to do, she has started adding videos of *you guessed it* me! :)
Last night Mom took me to Melanie's house for a holiday work party. Remember Melanie? She has dog-sat me twice before when the humans went on vacation (without me!) The last time I was at their place was when Mom's work had a going-away party for her back in August.
Even though Mom doesn't technically work there anymore (it would be kind of hard to, seeing as how she goes to school in New York) I guess they still consider her part of the family! Mom was super glad to see everyone, and everyone was super glad to see me, BOL! I wrestled with Mel's dogs (Scout, Marshmallow, et al) and entertained the humans with my uber cuteness.
After 4 hours or so Mom took me back home and I was so tired I slept almost immediately. What a night!
