Tails from the Bean

A cousin and a hedgehog...

Hi everyone! Woof Woof! It's been a while since I last wrote- it's summer now and I just can't sit inside all day and type messages! Duhhhhhh! Guess what? I went SWIMMING! It was totally awesome. At first I was a little scared because I didn't know what was going on except Momma and Daddy and Aunt Carol and Uncle Mark were throwing all of my toys in the big water bowl! Then Momma went out in the bowl first, so I followed her and then I was FLOATING! And there was all this fun green stuff to eat as I swam! It was totally awesome. Everyone couldn't believe I was acting like something called a "retriever". Whatever dudes... I really like swimming though, it's my new favorite thing!

And guess what! I'm going to have a COUSIN! Aunt Carol keeps yelling about someone named Gus Gus and keeps saying he's going to be super fuzzy and stupid looking, not pretty like me. Momma says everyone is going to like him better- but I know that's not even possible. He's going to be a sheep. But I thought he was a dog... so I don't know what's going on. Aunt Carol keeps finding sheep things and calling him a "sheepie" so I'm going to hope for a dog, but if my cousin is a Sheep then that's okay too. I'll still share my hedgehogs. Honk honk!

Speaking of hedgehogs... I got a new one! Now I have THREE hedgehogs. They're all different sizes and my new one makes funny noises when I shake it! He's super easy to carry around. I love him. He's my favorite. Well, no, the big one is my favorite (Grandma just sewed up his boo boo on his head. I didn't mean to chew a hole in his head! He said it didn't hurt, and he's home now and feels much better). Oh, no... my middle one is my favorite. Oh who cares- I love them all!

Oh yeah- grandma and grandpa bought me a water dish to play in! It's big and blue and they put it in the back yard and fill it up with water and let me splash around and sit in it! They also put a bunch of my fuzzy yellow balls in there for me to play with. It's SO fun. It's the only water dish I get to play in that I don't get yelled for.

Okay- I gotta go play with my hedgehogs and pink dog now. Maybe Daddy will take me on a walk if I run around the house honking my hedgehog super loud? I think I'll try it... I'll tell you the outcome later.

The Mad Pooper strikes again!

I wanted to warn you about what mommy and daddy are calling "the Mad Pooper"! Apparently TMP snuck in last night and wooeee! I was over at my friend Rugby's house (he's a pug! and we're really good friends cause we're the same age and size! Although he has to jump alot, which is weird cause i have to crawl on the floor a lot... hmmm... I swear we're the same really!) Anyway, we were having so much fun running around and playing!! I even got to drink all my water AND his! How cool is that! So anyway... we were running around and around and around the couch (I lost track if I was chasing him or if he was chasing me, but we were going around and around and around and it was super fun!) Then we stopped and Rugby looked back around the other end of the couch at me and we just waited and all of a sudden mommy and daddy's friend Eric said uh oh... and daddy said "The Mad Pooper!" I really quickly turned around and there was this huge pile on the floor behind me! I looked around for The Mad Pooper but I didn't see anyone! Meanwhile everyone was laughing and groaning and covering there faces! I tried to find TMP but I still didn't see him! But man did it STINK!!! And I mean "oh my gosh we're going to suffocate!" stinky! TMP really knows what he's doing! Anyway, I think he was trying to frame me so beware! I heard he comes around when I'm playing and having a ton of fun... he's probably jealous!! Don't let him get you in trouble!! Luckily Tracy and Eric love me so they didn't believe it was me :) Mommy and daddy even got me an K9 ice cream cup on the way home, but I think it's cause mommy's addicted to ice cream! Ok... just wanted to give you fair warning! He's a stinky one! (Oh wait... now that I think about it, I don't know if it's even a boy! I never saw him/her... hmmm...)

Bestest new game!

Oh my gosh! I found the bestest new game ever! You gotta try it! K, did you try it?!? Oh wait, I didn't tell you what it is yet! Ok... so mommy keeps complaining because the shower door broke on the shower that she always uses (it's fun, I try to see her through the weird glass and drink the water from underneath, but I don't get much) Anyway... one day she said "Forget it! Nilla, come with me" so I follow her into the big bathroom and I hear the shower turn on and she disappears behind this big red thing. Well of course I had to see where she went so I stuck my head around the corner and oh my gosh it was so fun! All this water was flying all over the place! My water bowl doesn't do that!! Well, at least not on it's own, sometimes it does when I fish in it, but I'll tell you about that another day. So naturally, cause I'm always thirsty I tried drinking the water as it sprayed at me. It was so much fun! Mommy kept laughing at me and then all of a sudden the water was gone. Mommy told me to go find Daddy and show him so I went running to find him and he said "OH Nilla! What were you doing?!" and then the big towel attacked me. Don't worry - I won! I always win, that's why they all have big holes in them! Silly towels... they're no match for me and herman, my hedgehog. We're a great team. Ok... gotta go fish... or eat or something, I can't remember but it'll be fun I bet. Try the new game - you'll love it! Watch out for the towel though!
