Tuff-tuff, Sir Tuffums

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

Being petted, eating "people food," kissing mommy, riding in the car, meeting other dogs, barking, doing my "crazy run" through the house

Being left alone in the house

Favorite Toy:
Oops! I'm too sophisticated for toys now!

Favorite Food:
Roast chicken, smoked salmon, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, rice! Oh, and did I mention roast chicken? Yum!!!

Favorite Walk:
Gimme anywhere with grass and trees

Best Tricks:
Standing on my hind legs for LONG periods of time

Arrival Story:
My dog-mom is a local Japanese Spitz named Yuki (Japanese for "Snow"). My humans originally were thinking of getting a Bichon Frise, but then saw a classified ad in the newspaper for a litter of Japanese Spitz puppies... and it was love at first sight!

I think I'm a person. I love children (and let them handle me like a toy stuffed animal), but I have the heart of a lion in guarding my family from strangers.

Wake up half an hour before the alarm clock.
Whine at the bedroom door.
Stand up and drum on the bedroom door with my front paws.
When my owner pretends to sleep, bark until she gets up.
Jump on her and lick her ears.
Follow her into the kitchen. Beg for food. Turn up my nose at dog food.
Happily munch on Cheerios.
Follow her into the other bedroom to wake up my human sister. Jump on her bed and lick her feet.
Try to eat HER cereal.
Do my crazy run when my owner gets my harness. Jump up on my hind legs so she can slip it over my head, but don't let her fasten it yet.
Bark to wake up the neighborhood.
Finally let my owner fasten the harness. Race down the stairs.
Stop at every tree and patch of grass on the way to the car.
Pretend I don't want to ride in the car (look away when my owner says "hop in").
Finally hop in the car. Stand up and lean my paws over the back seat so I can see out the rear window.
Sit down when my owner says "Sit, Tuffy. I can't see through your head!"
Whimper every time we pass another dog.
After my human sister gets to school, pant excitedly until we stop for a walk in the grass.
Ride home.
Race to the water bowl. Lap up half the bowl, splashing the rest merrily.
Watch my owner to see which room she's headed for.
Lie down and sleep at her feet.
