Quick Bio:

Birthday:
June 8th 2006

Likes:
playing around, swimming, belly rubs, playing with my sister Lucy, short runs with Mommy, sleeping on the cold bathroom floor, chewing on anything I can get away with!

Pet-Peeves:
I don't like it when Mommy puts me in my crate when she goes places; I just want to follow my people wherever they go!

Favorite Toy:
kong, tug of war rope

Favorite Food:
ANYTHING! but if I had to choose, I would say peanut butter. and anything that Logan drops on the floor.

Favorite Walk:
I especially like to walk when Mariah is riding her bike with us - I like to try to keep up with her! as long as it isn't too long of a run - I have a lot of energy, but I like to stop to reenergize frequently

Best Tricks:
this is cool: we have these doors that close by themselves, and when Lucy looks for Mommy sometimes she will get stuck in a room and not be able to nose it open. When I hear her whine, I will go and push it open for her no matter where I am!

Arrival Story:
Well, according to my mom: "It was love at first sight! Lucy was such a great dog and was so easy to take care that we knew we could get another dog. We hated knowing that there were so many dogs that were being mistreated that needed good homes. We knew that we either wanted another Doberman, Pit, or Golden but since I already got my dobie/pit, it was only fair that the husband got what kind of dog he wanted. :) We searched the petfinder.com database and found the cutest, most adorable puppy EVER with the saddest story! Some breeders wanted to donate the litter to a local rescue, but didn't want anyone from the rescue to come out and give them their shots or check up on them. One of the ladies thought it was suspicious, so she went out there anyways and you aren't going to believe this; they were living outside in a greenhouse in JULY! The three puppies were covered with flies and had scabs all over their heads and tails. Right after her visit, the breeders took the puppies from their mother at the tender age of 4 weeks old and just dropped them off pretty much on the doorstep. With a story like that, how could we not have her?! After we were accepted as her parents, the rescue found out that she had coccidia and treated her for it - what a chapter in her life that was! She got so sick from the treatement that she and her littermate almost didn't make it. They were sick for days and didn't eat or drink anything; her littermate had to be hospitalized and put on an i.v. By the time we got her, at 8 weeks old, she weighed only 4 pounds. What a tiny, tiny golden pup! She was so fearless, though. On the carride home, she was into everything. She was the size of a large rat, so she was climbing under the seats to smell the smells and she was all over Lucy and the kids! Even though her life started out tough, you would never know it; she is so happy all of the time and the only scars she shows from her rough start are on the top of her head and ears. She has such a great heart and just loves EVERYTHING! We are so lucky to have her.

Bio:
I am the happiest dog you will ever meet! Even when I am in trouble it is hard not to wag my tail and try to play. I just love life! I especially like it when the kids come home from school, I can't help myself I just run up to them and I can't stop kissing them! Whenever I want someone to rub me, I just toss their hand up in my mouth and then drop it on my head. I love to be pet a lot!
