CHEYENNE IS DOING GREAT!!! THANK YOU ALL !!

********** THANK YOU **** THANK YOU *** THANK YOU ************

There are just not enough words for me to express how very grateful we are for all the love, prayers, support and WELCOME HOME WISHES, STARS & ROSETTES : )

Cheyenne had a trip to the vet yesterday - she was so scared in there she was shaking from head to toe - but i held her close and she calmed down about half way through the visit - and she was a total super girl - never even let out a whimper - with no parasites to be found. Blood work - we will get the results back Tuesday - but Dr. says she looks good and healthy and now just needs to eat and gain weight - which she is doing with lots of enthusiasm! (poor girl has lost about 20 lbs! ) She is now micro-chipped too : ) and has a name tag !

Cheyenne LOVES her new brother Zeke - they immediately got along - and Zeke was so excited to share his rope and play Tug-o-War with her.

PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP ON YOUR LOST PET - MIRACLES DO HAPPEN - CHEYENNE IS LIVING PROOF ! She was misssing for almost 5 months - and from what we can tell, was out there on her own for most, if not all of that time! Plaster a 10 mile radius with posters, and spread the word any and everyway you can! AND PLEASE GET YOUR PETS MICRO-CHIPPED, LICENSED AND NAME TAGGED.

I had 2 different pet commuincators tell me she was no longer with us and had died - and although it hit me very hard and had me very depressed for some time ~ something in my gut just did not believe that - and so I continued to post ads on Craigslist and check out any possible leads - and now she's HOME - with no injuries and so happy to be back. She still wears a big smile and is just as sweet as ever! THANK YOU GOD FOR ANSWERED PRAYERS !

I have posted some new photos ~ Thank You all so very much for everything!

We love all our Dogster pals - and look forward to joining in on the fun now that this difficult ordeal has ended in such a wonderful way.

THANK YOU FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL GIFTS!!!!!!! BLESS YOU ALL!

Sorry it's been so long since I posted - much has happened since I last wrote but most importantly.............

We have great News !! ***** CHEYENNE IS HOME !!!! *********

This all started 5 days ago - when I got a call from a woman in Sea-Tac (BLESS HER!) who said she had been feeding a stray dog for about a month and she saw the posters and got a better look at Cheyenne and called to tell me that she would come into her yard to eat late at night - so I started camping out in front of her house just waiting - and sure enough she came for dinner each time - she was extremely scared and skittish at first - so for the first 3 nights all I could do is watch her from my car window - because if there was any movement she would bolt - but then last night ~~~~

Nothing short of a miracle happened last night! Cheyenne is here laying by my side and just last night - I was sitting out in front of that house again waiting for her to come running over for dinner - I had put her favorite snack in front of my car and a trail from the car to the food dish - and all of a sudden i heard a whimper from across the street - then she ran up to the front of the car and looked at me - ran to the side of the car - looked at me - I just sat there trying not to look directly at her - (because i was told this could take a couple weeks to gain her trust and she would not let anyone else approach her) the next thing you know she jumps up and sticks her head in the window! Luckily i remained calm and had a beggin (bacon) strip next to me - I handed it to her - she gobbled it up - I didn't quite get a hold of her - and she ran off with the treat - but just a second later - she came back and I opened the door and she practically jumped in my lap! - I hugged her over and over and she licked my face - this could not have gone any more perfect! She was so happy to see me and her car!

She is so thin - i can feel every bone in her body - she looks like she's lost about half of her body weight - but other than that - she is acting and looks very healthy! No injuries - She knows she's home and knows her name - We are all ecstatic!

She has been living in one of those overgrown Port of Seattle lots over by the Groomers and the Airport, and then coming out at night to cross the street and eat from the neighbors who Thank God were feeding her.

Star is so happy to see her too ! And to top it off - it was my husbands 40th Birthday last night.

We are very Blessed ! - And I am so happy to be able to share this incredible news with all the amazing people who have followed her story from the beginning, and came out on thier own time to help us look for her and for the many prayers that were said daily - God Bless All Of You!

If you have a lost pet - PLEASE DON"T GIVE UP - AND JUST KEEP PUTTING THOSE POSTERS UP AND TELLING AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE !!! MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!!! It has been 4 months and 3 weeks since Cheyenne first went missing - and now she is HOME! : )

I will get pictures of her up as soon as we can - but rest assured - she is ok and so happy to be home!

IF I could ask one more favor - if you are in our area and see a poster of Cheyenne and you are able to take it down for me - I would greatly appreciate it - I have well over 5000 posters and flyers out there, and will do my best to get them all taken down and now inform everyone that she is SAFE AT HOME!

AGAIN - THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMPORTANT UPDATE - HELP I COULD REALLY USE - CRAIGSLIST WATCHERS - ALL AREAS

July 15th 2007 10:51 pm

"HELP I COULD REALY USE"..... as well as many other pets in your area - is watching the ads on Craigslist in many areas - many pets ads - too many for me too keep up with - We've got the Seattle/Tacoma area covered pretty good - many people are watching those ads and I am posting my ads there regularly - I have also started posting Cheyennes ad on Criaglist in Eastern Wa and other bordering states.

If those who want to help could help by watching any and all Criagslist ads under Lost & Found & Pets and aslo the Free section in any area - but specifically Washingtom State - all areas - as well as Oregan, California, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and any other state you feel like really.

Craigslist.org - has a list of states - those list of states have lists of cities - or different parts of states..... those cities will have different categories on main page - Pets, Lost and Found and Free - sometimes you will even find pets listed in the wrong categories such as furniture or ???

Craigslist is a very popular spot for lost and found as well as adopting out or giving away pets., especially in larger cities but the smaller ones often get over looked but are easier to watch - however a poster of an ad may delete it any time - so if they post an animal up for free and 10 minutes later someone calls on it and comes and gets it - the author will go in and delete the ad. SO could be easily missed - I have come across many ads of people who found pets - don't bother looking for the owner - but just put it for ...FREE TO GOOD HOME! Or even asking for an adoption/or re-homing fee - saying they rescued it.

I could also use help with copying and pasting my ads about cheyenne into thier classifieds - Craigslist won't let me post the same ad numerous times to different places - even if in different cities - they will see it as spam - so if they are placed from a different email address it shouldn't show up that way??? - just follow the "post an ad" directions - found at the top right corner of any classified list - and post under lost & Found Or Pets - you can copy and save my pictures of Cheyenne to place in the ad - where they ask for photos

Other classifieds to watch

livedeal.com
craigspets.net
backpage.com
nwsource.com

And all local paper classifieds - most of which can all be found online as well as in print. Heralds, little nickles. pickle press, etc...

Since many people are not familiar with all that is available on the internet - and I cannot possibly keep up with all of the ads everywhere - and either could anyone else - if we all watch even just all our local areas that we can watch for all local missing and found pets - more pets can be reunited. - There are so many places to watch locally - such as on your street poles, your grocery bulletin boards, community center boards, pets stores and groomers, vetrinarians, etc... I really think if more people take the time to really watch all these places locally - more pets will be reunited sooner. and I know there enough pet lovers out there to make a huge difference !

Just wanted to stop in and update the latest - which is chasing around more possibile sightings - going to look at all the shelters again, meeting with ginger from gingers pet rescue, emailing all shelters and rescues I can find outside of our area - as well as local again, checking all shelters and rescues - adoptable and already adopted out pets, staking out the parks by my house because of the information from now 2 different pet communicators who say she is close to home, and is still trying to find home - staying up and going out during the night to look for her when all is more quite for the last 4 days - as well as going and looking in the early AM - walking around the neighborhood, driving around and talking to as many people in my neighborhood as possible - trying to get back to many emails, phone calls, etc...

As well as trying to find time to take care of things around home i have neglected for too long now - so - just so everyone knows - I am still checking any and all messages here on dogster as well as my other emails, myspace, yahoo, etc.. but may not get back to everyone right away, but I am checking all leads that are sent to me - and I greatly appreciate all of your support and help!!!!

******************************************************** ************
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE SUPER NICE STARS AND ROSETTES AND MESSAGES OF HOPE AND WELL WISHES FOR CHEYENNE TO FIND HOME !
God Bless All of You - They mean the world to us!

******************************************************** ************

I feel like i need to catch up on about a months worth of sleep suddenly - so i am trying to get some sleep when i can.

I have also offered and been asked to please help with fostering - there are so many dogs, cats and kittens in the shelters right now - PLEASE ADOPT OR FOSTER A SHELTER DOG OR CAT or any other pet !!!!!! They are having to put down many perfectly good pets due to lack of space !

Go to petfinder.com - or to your local animal shelter or rescue - fostering a pet for a week to a few weeks may just save a life or many and give just the right amount of time for thier perfect forever family to find them - If you are in Wa. State and can foster please contact me and I will help you get started - I will be taking in some foster kids (pets) as well - because there are simply not enough people willing or able to do so - and I can't keep going back to the shelters daily only to look into the sad eyes of so many deserving animals - and not do something! Please help - it doesn't have to be a life time committment - foster for as little or as long as you like - a week spent with a loving family and away from the stress of the shelter - is better than none! Find out more - get the facts about fostering before making up your mind that you can't ...for whatever reason........ - ask your local shelter or rescue to send you informaton on fostering, and see if its something you or someone you know can do. I have a ton of reasons not to as well - but i also go and look at thier faces everyday and know that all of my reasons are not good enough. This is not thier fault. - Be it one or 2 kittens or cat - or a puppy , a senior dog, or a dog or cat that just needs the right family to come along and find him or her -which is often out of foster care vs the shelter because more is known about the pets personality and they are seen as they are - special, loving, deserving pets with feelings, personalities, and so much love to give.
( You get to pick the pet and amount of time you can foster & expenses like food and vet care are Covered)

I will continue to post more updates as I get them about Cheyenne and will get back to people as soon as I can, if I don't get back to you - feel free to send me another email or call me - as I often get so wrapped up in the next thing that i miss things or forget to get back to people right away : ( sorry

Thank You all for continuing to support our search for Cheyenne and for reading my diary : )

You can read previous diary entires here as well for all information about our search for Cheyenne and latest updates or information. Thank You - there are also several groups that were made to support our search for Cheyenne as well as many other missing pets....PLEASE JOIN THE VARIOUS MISSING PETS GROUPS - or check your local Craigslist or other lost pet sites and watch out for misssing pets in your area ~ you could be the one to help reunite a missing pet and prevent it from ever going to the shelter in the first place! During our search for Cheyenne we along with several other caring people have managed to help reunite 4 dogs with thier families and get 2 others adopted into permanant homes. : 0 )

If you need a list of groups or want to find out more about helping a lost or found pet, please send me a pawmail and I will send you the links and info.

Thanks again ~

Re: HELP NEEDED

Message Body:
We drove up to Acme (2 hours north of us ) yesterday and posted flyers at the one town store and then another store at the next town which is basically around the corner and drove around town for awhile looking in yards and talking to people - no luck yet - the town is quite pretty - looks much different in person than it does from the ariel view on the map - and does not match the description of the town that the psychic mentioned - it is not dry and run down with no trees - quite the opposite really - it is a tiny town though - and it is possible the word Acme came up - maybe the original trucker lives there somewhere or he stopped there before traveling across the Mt - the town is very green - lots of trees and is near the end of Hwy 9 before going up to Mt Baker - we drove as far as we could for the day and didn't get back til late last night - then went this morning to check out shelters again - no luck there. I am still working on trying to follow up on any leads i get - there is also some conflicting info - from other pet communicators - 2 of which say she is still close to home - and is trying to find her way back - and that she is playing hobo - basically and may be spending time at a park with a lake or water -which sounds like Hicks Lake - next to Cascade Middle school - in White Center. Which is where the other pet communicator I was talking to also said she would be. We have been down there several times - walking the dogs and have even stayed down there for hours looking through the park - I keep posting posters there at the park - but everytime - by the next day they are ripped down - i am assuming by kids - who travel through there from school - I have notified the park caretaker that lives on the property and she is very nice and animal lover as well - she has been watching out for Cheyenne too.

Mom I am trying to come home

Here is another messages I recieved from another psychic - again sent through Gracie Sue the day before

Subject: For what it is worth- Another Psychic Sent: Sun Jul 8

Message:
I'm in a psychic group and I asked if anyone knew where Cheyenne could be and he responded with this-

For what its worth....my immediate impresion was of a blonde tousle haired little girl....fairly dirty with hand me down or thrift store clothing.... see sandals...look like well worn leather....possibly brown or dark tan at one time...child is young...runny nose...maybe three to five y/o or there abouts...with her arms wrapped around the neck of a loving , gentle and sweet natured long haired dog.. about the size of the type of dog mentioned... ..dog may be reddish or dark tan colored but not sure....

is a collar on the dog but not seeing it clearly....looks like it has some kind of ornaments on it...not gaudy and ugly........ .like fake gemstones or round, button like studs...two tags on the collar...possbly colored tags...see red and green...but that could be a flower the little girl stuck in the dogs collar

dog seems happy, content, loved and cared for....
I rarely if ever do this sort of thing anymore..... .at one time was very accurate but since I stopped doing this....I wont swear to any of what I just saw as being correct beyond the fact there is a little girl somewhere whose new best friend is a nice looking dog...

is a ramshackle looking building...an old corn crib or dilapidated old barn or shed in the background.. .notmuch grass around it....maybe there are pigs or sheep living in the shed?

hogwire fencing and an old rusty looking truck with the hood up nearby.....early 50s vintage...is an old spoke wheeled tractor near a fence in the distance perhaps?...place looks lke something you would see in the backroads of a rural area...

am picking up on a lot more clittle clues...but like I said...I stopped looking for bodys and missing people quite a long a time ago....but did have a distinct glimpse of the aforementioned when reading the post....red clay...with loose gravel in it....maybe the driveway or the road... is a 4 digit number....4932? .....but wouldnt put my money on that being correct...lol

little girl has a faded looking sundress with some kind of flowers on t.....

thats it....

probably a waste of time to even write it out.....but who knows?.....Ive been dead on the money more times than Ive been wrong...bur life was different then....and so was I....is probably nothing

****************************************

I will be going door to door again - the Hicks Park is a place that is familiar to her - as we have taken all 3 of them down there when Duke was still alive - also I have been down there searching for her many times since she went missing - because it is so close to home and would be familiar to her. - And have had Star with me - leaving her scent (potty) there many times - as well as brushing her out down there and then walking back and forth from there to home trying to leave a scent trail if she was there.
I am on my way out again - so please feel free to crosspost this to other groups or to anyone else that is involved with searching for her.

Thank You
Chantelle

PS - I have also contacted the ACME trucking company who replied and said they would get a message out to thier drivers to see if anyone knows about her - and see what they could do.

Also many other trucker groups are being notified as well through yahoo groups and myspace.

Also I am still working on sending emails and her poster to as many shelters and rescues as I can find - extending into Canada, Oregan, Idaho, Montana - and Eastern Wa. Some who have replied and said they would crosspost her info and send it to thier contacts as well

THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE HELPING - WE KNOW SHE IS OUT THERE SOMEWHERE !!!!

We are not giving up!

Sending you all much Love and Appreciation !

RECAP of CHEYENNE’s heartbreaking story:
On April 7th she was at Love & Care Pet Salon in Tukwila, WA. Can you imagine getting THIS phone call....” COME QUICK - your dog just jumped out the (second story) window and we can't catch her!”?!? Her family was there within minutes of the call, but Shy Cheyenne was gone, running scared, and still missing after 2 long months. Her family has done EVERYTHING imaginable to find her! See detailed list on her page and at craigslist under Pets AND Lost&Found - keyword Cheyenne.

Dogsters are helping to personally alert EVERY Dogster/Catster in an extended area to be on the lookout. There are MANY small things you can do to help from near and far! Come join us at Cheyenne's new Group to help ALL lost animals .

----------------------
***IF SEEN PLEASE REMAIN CALM and call CHANTELLE ASAP 206-851-5294 or Animal Control Officer Pam McLaren 206-992-4071 - PLEASE DO NOT CHASE - but do try to KEEP HER IN SIGHT and slowly follow her if possible until help arrives!

IF YOU CAN APPROACH HER - get down on her level - even sitting or lying on the ground - do not act as if you want to catch her as this will most likely make her run and she is very quick
- speak softly using her nick name SHY-SHY as well as STAR and DUKE - entice with FOOD if possible ... WANT A TREAT? - WANNA GO HOME? - LET'S GO SEE STAR ... etc.
- PLEASE READ Think Lost NOT Stray Article for more information on how to approach a shy skittish dog- - She has always been shy since she was a pup.

Cheyenne likes to go for walks in PARKS and along RIVERS/LAKES. This King County bike MAP may be helpful for those out walking your own dogs and/or searching.

IF SEEN WITH SOMEONE ELSE - in a car, in a yard, on a leash, etc ... PLEASE CALL WITH INFO - License plate, address, location, etc...

*** Keep in mind that she has been missing over 2 months and REALLY could be ANYWHERE by now even though there have been "possible" sightings!!!!

----------------------
There have been recent "possible" sightings of Chey and she seems to be trying to get closer and closer ... "within 20 - 30 blocks from home" in South West Seattle. She obviously has been trying so hard and her family is endlessly searching day and night.

UPDATE June 1 - White Center - “she was seen walking with an african american woman who said she had found the dog and was PLANNING ON KEEPING HER.” If someone IS trying to keep Cheyenne or even if she is found running loose, everyone needs to know she is Lost and NOT a stray. Also, there is a HUGE Reward for her safe return!!!!

POSSIBLE SIGHTIING June 12 - partial CROSS POST from Cheyenne at Plus Informational
“Just today we got 2 different sightings that may or may not have been her - but they again are close to home on SW 125th and 8th Ave SW - in North Burien - I got there within minutes of getting this persons call - which he followed her to a dead end that has a trail that goes through to SW 122nd - i went out and searched for another 4 hours today by car and on foot with Star ....."

POSSIBLE SIGHTING June 16 - "... 0n 8th Ave SW in between Roxbury and SW 102ND street ...White Center - near the North side of the new Community Center next to White Center Heights Elementry School. Sitting near bus stop. Could be going back and forth from there to downtown White Center for food..."

POSSIBLE SIGHTING June 24 - "We have a report from a MySpacer :) that Cheyenne was seen with an older transient black man in a dog park by Recovery Café in DOWNTOWN SEATTLE.
Recovery Café is located at 2301 2nd Ave, Seattle, WA 98121
If anyone lives or works in that area - watch for Cheyenne!" Please call with ANY leads!

UPDATE JULY 4TH - WE TALKED TO ANOTHER PET PSYCHIC - THAT CAME VERY RECOMMENDED BECAUSE OF PROVEN SUCCESS IN FINDING ANOTHER MISSING DOG ~
I was told that - she felt Cheyenne was picked up in a truck - by a trucker at some point - possibly a few weeks ago ? bright yellow cab - possibly 18 wheeler - red writing on the side of truck, nice man in 40's sandy brown/blonde hair, tall, strong trusting man - drove up through mountains - possibly through a tunnel - up to a truck stop or little strip (at night) - with a bar? - old fashioned - brown wooden or looks wooden bar, tavern, restuaraunt?? with neon signs out front - possibly large neon structure or shape? Bought food for the dog there (a roast beef sandwhich) - drives farther til daylight - comes to a lot of small homes (small town) - but dry, cooler atmosphere dusty roads - not alot trees around, dusty, yard with a chicken wire or some other type of lighter wire fencing around an unkept run down type garden? - with Big Cactus with red flowers ? ip to a dark cherry red house with a hint of pink to it colored house) - lots of little houses really close together - in very small town with metal roofs. When looking out window - from living room - can see a mt view far off in the distance. sunshine very bright during the day, the trucker drops in and says to another older man - 55 - 70 yrs old ??? "hey RUSTY - look at this fella I found" - or something similar" (he refers to the dog as fellow or fella) and asks this new man to watch the dog until he gets back. (possibly after finishing a long haul route ???) IMPORTANT #'S maybe related to Hwy's ** 17 ** 12 ** 9 ** neighborhood or town is small population - not a tourist area, The Word ACME kept coming to the psychic -- not sure if in relation to the trcuk or town or ??? numbers on house are in black curvey scripty type numbers starting with 46 - possibly 4 numbers of 4693 (not sure) - U or hourseshoe SHAPE knocker on door.

PSYCHIC SUGGESTED GETTING POSTERS UP TO TRUCK STOPS (but asking them to leave them there for a couple months if necessary) AS WELL AS POSSIBLY TRUCKERS TO PUT A MESSAGE OUT OVER CB.

Here is a link to a list of Truck stops in Wa. State - as well as a link on the top of page to a map of all the truck stops - that map will have a link to a more detailed map in left top corner:

http://www.truckstopinfoplus.com/show_list.asp?st ate=Washington

IF YOU KNOW ANY TRUCKERS OUT THERE - PLEASE HELP GET THIS MESSAGE OUT !!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Please let me know if you think any of this sounds familiar or if you can help by getting posters or flyers to truck stops etc...

This is the most detailed information I have at the time ...........also important - psychic explains that she is just relaying information as she see's it - but the time frame COULD BE ..PRESENT, PAST OR FUTURE...? not always exactly sure what time period she is seeing. Also that alot of the information comes at her very fast sometimes and may only get a glimpse of something.

Dad has been checking the messages when he can - but doesn't get back to people because he doesn't type : ) and says he's not a people person - bol

No new leads from the downtown area.

There have been a couple of new possible sightings up by our home - but we think it could be the same dog we have chased down before - which is always in the same area - and is only about 10 blocks east from home- not sure - but several people have reported seeing a dog that they think looks like Cheyenne between SW 116th and SW 108th & 1st Ave South (Top Hat - North Burien area) - we have had my mom and friends - as well as myself and hubbie out searching these areas constantly - but fail to find Cheyenne - there is a golden colord lab (male) with a brown collar, that lives right around the corner that they let roam around - doesn't really look like Cheyenne at all to me - but I chased this dog around for hours (trying to find it - based off the callers description) the other day - or trying to find it - when a caller said she had seen it then it disappeared and she kept me on the phone for quite awhile while we each drove around frantically looking for the golden dog that dissappeared - finally she said "i found it!" And it was sitting on the porch of what was obviously his home with his dog buddy - I am not sure - though that everyone is seeing the same dog or not - this area is very close to home and I would think if it was her she would find her way home from there - I have walked myself and Star back and forth from this area several times to leave a scent trail straight to home. Have also left heavily scented articles outside of our home and also food and made a bed for her if she was to find home when we are not here.

THANK YOU !!!!! TO EVERYONE FOR ALL THE STARS AND ROSETTES AND PRAYERS AND HELP IN SO MANY WAYS - WE ARE SO TRUELY GRATEFUL FOR EVERYONE HERE WHO HAS BEEN SO SUPPORTIVE !!!!!! WE LOVE YOU ALL ! -

I apologize for not getting back to everyone with a personal thank you yet - but want everyone to know how much they mean to me.

My computer is running really slow and is also shutting itself down and then restarting - which has happened several times right in the middle of trying to post something - this is another reason for the delay.

I will absolutely keep everyone informed of any new updates as often as possible - for now - I am going to rest.

And will be trying to really use the power of visualization and prayer to help Cheyenne get home.

When I tell you all that this is literally all I have done - is search for her in everyway imaginable since the day she went missing - I am not exagerrating -all of my friends and family are telling me I need to take a break - and I am honestly so tired and stressed out and now sick - that i realize it is time to give it a break.
- RE: the "Confusion" - please realize that if you think you are confused - imagine what I must be going through - i have talked to at least 4 or 5 pet communicators and psychics - each saying something sometimes similar - sometimes completely different - I chase down calls that come from any and every area that come in - wether they make sense or not - I have hired scent tracking dogs 3 seperate times, I have posted at least 3000 flyers, I have cehcked every shelter, rescue, vet, that i can, I have posted ads daily on craigslist as well as many other sites - I have posted on every lost pet site i can find and check everything reguarly, I drive around or walk around every area that the continued possible sightings have come in from - to literally camping out in my car in some of these areas for days - I have been trying to cover all my bases - as far as what we have done or continue to do -and I have been trying anything and everything that is suggested to me - and nothing has worked to bring her home yet- this has been for an almost solid 3 months - thank God for my wonderful husband who has taken over cleaning the house and cooking and grocery shoppping even - because if I am not out there searching - I am on the computer checking every possible site and re-posting ads as well as trying to keep up with all the 1000's of emails . Not to mention the death of Duke the week before Cheyenne went missing has been hitting me really hard again - I didn't get much time to let that fully sink in before i was on the constant search for Cheyenne - and just lately everything has boiled over - and is so overwhelming and terribly sad - that i have been terribly depressed when I am not pushing it away to keep going after Cheyenne - I hope this all doesn't sound like a pity party - it is what it is - the truth - and i am trying my very hardest to do everything right - only to feel like I am failing everytime! Basically I really feel like I need a break or I'm going to lose my mind.
I truely apologize for not getting back to some of you recently - I will soon!

Thank You again for all of your prayers and support and all the help from so many wonderful people I have met through this site. - It really means the world to me - and I know i couldn't have done everything that has been done without your help. Bless You all.

I will post again soon - just wanted to let you all know whats going on.

Love,
Chantelle

EMAIL FROM CRAIGSLIST

Hello,

I'm a vet on Vashon and I've been keeping updated about your search for Cheyenne via Craigslist. (We have her poster at our clinic, too.)

I just saw your note about the possibility that she is with a homeless man in downtown Seattle. If that is the case you may want to have someone hang out at the Doney Memorial Pet Clinic, which offers vet services for homeless folks. It takes place the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month at the Union Gospel Mission (318 2nd Ave Extension S., in downtown Seattle). I used to volunteer there a lot, before I moved to Vashon and my job required me to work every Saturday. Anyway, I know that the clinic is very busy and it offers quite the social scene for homeless folks and their pets.

You may want to tell the Doney folks to be on the lookout for Cheyenne, if you haven't already. On occasion we would get alerts to watch for stray dogs that homeless folks might have picked up. But the best thing would be to station a Cheyenne spotter at the clinic. Sometimes the clinic days are so crazy that the regular staff is overwhelmed just doing their regular stuff. If Cheyenne really was spotted in downtown Seattle, and is with a homeless guy, there's a good chance they will go to a Doney Clinic.

May Cheyenne be back with you soon.

June 26th from ME TO OTHERS-

I am going downtown tomorrow to talk to the various homeless shelters and I called the union gospel mission today and found out they have a volunteer veterinarian program on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month from 3:00 - 5:00 where they offer free vet services as well as have free pet supplies and food for pets for the homeless - so I unfortunately just missed this last Saturdays and there won't be one again for 2 weeks - but they said they would leave the flyers for the various volunteer vets and vet techs in case they have seen or do see her.

I wasn't able to get down there today - but Alex did email me and said he went by the park today - said thier were lots of dogs but none were her, as well as several people from craigslist who also said they would go down and check it out and talk to people for me.

Hi-

I did not see Cheyenne at that dog park. But, I went early, right after work, so maybe as the night goes on, if the man is homeless, he would be there later in the evening.

There are a lot of homeless people in that area, so maybe you want to take a walk around there a few times and maybe you will see something. I will also look, since I work and go to school very close.

I went to the park today. It's near my union hall, and I had to stop by to pay my dues.I saw alot of dogs there, but none were Cheyenne.I wish I had more time to hang out,and talk to the people that were there with dogs, but I had to go to work.I'll keep checking when I'm close to that area.Have you notified the news channels? I've seen them ask the public if anyone has seen lost animals before. You and your husband sound like wonderful parents to Cheyenne.I really hope you find her soon.I'll help anyway I can. Keep me posted, and I'll do the same.Good luck, and keep in touch! P.S. I think the name of that park is regrade park, not recovery park.I think I went to the right one.I'm pretty sure it's the only one around there.

Answer about park:

THIS IS A COPY OF ONE OF THE MANY EMAILS I GOT FROM PEOPLE OFF OF CRAIGSLIST - THIS IS THE PARK THAT THE MAN WAS SEEN AT.

The only downtown seattle dog park I know of is actually located in Bell town and called Regrade Park. I hope this helps; the address is below

2251 Third Ave.
Seattle, WA 98121
Phone: 206-684-4075

Ok - I am really on my way out soon - I had to wait for my mom who is going to go with me - the homeless areas can be a little scary for me to go by myself - so we are going to take Star and Zeke down there together and spend the day at the dog park as well as check in with all these areas that offer services to the homeless and make sure they have gotten the information and see if we can't get any more info from anyone
