Arrival Story:
Caleb joined our family after we took our other dog Blue to Ramstein K-9 dog school for an 8 week course. We were talking to the owner and we mentioned that we were thinking about getting a german shepherd because I have always loved that breed but because of Blue's attitude towards other dogs we thought that we would never be able to get one. Well it turned out that John (the trainer) said he had a shepherd that needed a good home. He had received Caleb when a friend of his developed severe allergies to him and broke out into hives when near him. He tried to donate Caleb to the local police department but Caleb didn't have the heart to do the drug work (which is what they needed him for). We fell in love with Caleb the first time we saw him and asked John if he would be able to work with both Caleb and Blue and socialize them so that we would be able to keep him. He did, and after their 8 week course the dogs are best of friends now (Blue still doesnt like other dogs, only Caleb).
