Arrival Story:
Meet Sadie, a 1 year old mixed breed. Mixed with what? A little of this, a little of that. She was found as a puppy dumped in the woods in rural Ohio. She was taken in by the family that found her. They kept her for a year then decided they didn’t want her anymore and took her to the local shelter. Why they would want to give her up is beyond our comprehension. Sadie is nothing but sweet, and kind and loving. She is housetrained, calm and has perfect manors. She gets along fine with the other dogs in the house although very submissive to them. She is fine with cats if not a bit frightened by them. In Sadie’s short life she has not seen the good side of human beings. After all, it was humans who dumped her in the cold woods to starve as a baby, it was humans who took her to a noisy, frightening shelter and left her. Because of this, Sadie is shy. She wants so badly to be loved but doesn’t feel she deserves it. Once she warms up to you she is like a Velcro dog, she soaks up all that love and attention in sheer delight and follows you around the house like, well, like a puppy dog. Please know that even though she is shy she does not have a mean bone in her body. She would never, ever snap or growl at a human, it’s just not in her to do that. Children or adults, once you show her a little affection, she’s your best friend for life.
Sadie is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations.
Sadie is available through a Veterinarian in Alpha, NJ and is being fostered in the home of one of the employees.
