Doggie Retirement

After a very long time thinking about it my husband and I decided to send Foofie to live with my parents. She had been voiding in the house even after coming back in from a walk, where she would also void. We had a feeling she needed to get out in the yard more frequently than we could let her out and since my parents live on a few acres all fenced in we decided it would be best for her to head there for a pup retirement.

My parents love her and she lived there for years with me anyway so she remembers everything. She's become my dad's little buddy. If we ever move out of apartment living and purchase a home of our own, we'll happily move her back home to us, that's our intent. However if my father is too attached to her I'll let him keep her there with him. If he feels like he needs her I won't begrudge him that.

So long is my sweet girl is loved I am happy with our decision. It was hard but for the best.

Well, it's been a while since my human Scarfy updated my page for me. She just put new pictures of me up just now. I've had a chance to play with some dogs my size but they all have been anti-social for the most part.

Scarfy's human friend had a dog named Flappy. She and I were just getting to know each other but Flappy ran away from home one day and even though her human searched and searched she was nowhere to be found. Scarfy said she hopes that nothing like that ever happens to us. That's why I stay on the leash. My recall isn't the greatest when I get excited! And I'm waaaay too fast for Scarfy.

Scarfy has got some human problems that she's worried about but I've done my best to be the sweetest dog ever. She said it's worked :)

Happy Birthday!!

TO MEEE!!! Today I'm 2 years old. The humans say I'm like a teenager now. I don't know what that means, but I sure love to have fun! I do all kinda of fun stuff with everyone.

They all love it when I fetch toys or greet them when they come home. Everyone says I'm such a good, smart, friendly dog. I guess they're right! haha

Today is also my human's, Scarfy, birthday. She didn't really know exactly when mine was and since she doesn't speak the same language as me, she just said that we'd make it OUR birthday! I love my human!

We got a package from Febreeze. It had some great stuff in there. I really love the squeaky toy they sent!! The humans love the way the stuff smells.

So anyway, I'm great. The humans are great. Everything is doggone wonderful!

Merry Christmas!

I know it's been a long time but the human doesn't always keep up with things like she should! I'll have to get after her for that. Things have been pretty low key for me. It's been raining a lot, which I H-A-T-E! I think I might be part cat sometimes what with the way I like to chase things that run across the carpet and hate water.

Right now I'm on the hunt cause there's a mouse in the house! The human is worked up about it and it scares me how she's so intense about me seeing it when I don't. It makes me think she's mad at me so I go hide under the bed. She's not mad though... sometimes it takes me some time to understand that.

I have a Dogbook now! Just like my human has a Facebook. It's got other cute pictures of me on there! I love looking for new friends. There are so many adorable dogs out there like me. I wish we had a million! Though the human says it's just gonna be me and her for a while. That's okay! It just means I get all the attentions! :D

New Friends!

Scarfy and I have made a lot of new pals on Dogster because everyone on LiveJournal loves us! We love them back. I'd lick all their faces if I could. Scarfy would too! haha

We've been having so much fun. Guess what! I don't want to jinx it cause she won't say it very loud but Scarfy said she's pretty sure that I'm completely potty trained now! I know! I'm so awesome! She loves me so much and we have so much fun together.

Sometimes she says that I helped her out when she was feeling her worst. She was really sad before I came along. Now we play everyday and she just doesn't have time to be sad! I sure love my Scarfy! :)

Oh Noes!!

It's been way too long since I've updated. I'm awesome. Scarfy has been watching a lot of It's Me or The Dog. Hope she's not getting any bright ideas!

Well, I think she did get one. She has started giving me designated meal times so that I don't eat at night and then poop before it's time to get up in the morning. I've been really good about not pottying in the house lately.

I know Scarfy has been worried that I won't get the hang of inside/bad, outside/good. I'm trying really hard though! She's really been patient.

She bought me a bunch of presents a couple of weeks ago... flea and tick preventative (which is working great!), some dental nylabones (also been working great), and a tennis ball small enough to fit in my mouth! I have such a tiny mouth that I could barely pack my green squeaker. I love the ball though, it really makes fetching fun! Makes my tail wag just thinking about it.

Scarfy and I were watching the Crufts dog show recently on Animal Planet and we saw a Flatcoat Retriever. WOW! It looked just like a big version of me! Scarfy said she wanted to adopt one when she moved out so that people would see us together. The retriever could be like my big goofy sidekick... but no "mini-me" jokes!

I'm so sleepy. I think it's time to curl up in a ball beside Scarfy on the bed and enjoy a good nights sleep.

Entry Number Three

It's hard to think of titles for entries. That's a weird thing to make me do every time I want to update my pals on what's up!

Well, Scarfy's dad made me a fence. It's great! Two days, no accidents! Weeee!!!11 I'm awesome! I'm so lucky everyone loves me. I have to be the cutest dog ever or something. I get compliments all the time on the LiveJournal dog communities and from people from Global Paw. I'm one poochie that sure loves the internet. I'm on the information super dog way!

I'm gonna go chew my kong now!

A delimma

Hi, everyone! It's time for another Foofer entry!

I think everything's been going really well lately... well, except that I'm still having some outside potty problems. I know I can get it right but everytime I go outside I forget about potty time and I just want to run over to the neighbor's field! They have horses over there! They're HUGE!! And their poop is so smelly! I just love to roll in it!

Scarfy was so upset yesterday. She had just given me a bath the day before and then I ran off and came back smelling like horse poop. She was so sad about having to give me another bath.

The good news is Scarfy's dad is going to build me a fence in the front yard this weekend, so that I can go outside and potty and I won't run off and get distracted. Scarfy is really positive that we can get this under control. I love my Scarfy very much!!

My First Entry

Hi there! I'm Foofie Woofer. My owner/mommy is Scarfy. I will be calling her Scarfy in my diary, just so you know! She's just about the best thing that ever happened to me. Before I came to live with Scarfy and her family, I was living with a friend of her dad's. It wasn't a bad life. I had some doggie friends there. Although because of all those other doggie friends, I got left out a little bit.

When I got to come live with Scarfy I got all the attention! I'm the only pooch in the house and everyone here loves me! I only had a few accidents on the carpet at first and since we've gotten in a routine, I haven't had any! I love to play with my green gremlin squeaker! Scarfy taught me how to fetch! I'm so good at it! She also gave me a bunny that I've since decimated and made me a rope toy to chew and play tug with. The best present ever though came after our birthday!

Scarfy said that since no one knew exactly how old I was, only that I was "about a year", that she would share her birthday with me! The day after our birthday she took me to a store where I could go inside too! It was called Petsmart. I took a huge poop in the floor and no one minded! Then Scarfy bought me a kong! I love my kong. It helps me not worry about when Scarfy will be home when she leaves me sometimes. It's so fun and tastey that I just chew and chew until she gets back! :)

I'm such a happy pooch now that I have my Scarfy. She makes my tail wag!
