So, here follows the first entry of my life, me - Snoopy - who was once unwanted, unloved and abused.

My mom lived two houses away from my previous "owners", and their house was a bit higher than those next to it. Between the house right next to mom's and between my previous "home" there was only a fence, so you could see through to "our" yard.

One day mom heard whines that were so hard and sad...she peeked over the wall and saw me and my sister...the people were gone (she noticed them going on the friday with their camper, and it was now saturday afternoon) so she walked over to the house. She climbed over the fence to investigate why we were sounding so pathetic and found NO FOOD OR WATER put out for us. It was in the summer and in South Africa it is very hot in the summer. She took us both to her house, and when the people came back the Sunday took us back and gave the people a piece of her mind.

About a week and a half later, I showed up at her house...sick and looking like I had gotten a beating. My sister was nowhere to be seen. So mom took me in and went over to the people and told them exaclt what she thought of them. We think my sister might have died and till this day mom still blames herself.

She took me to the vet who said that I had a very severe throat infection, was anemic and loads of other things. I was too weak to climb stairs. It also looked like I was badly abused, especially by men, since for a loooong time afterwards I would flinch and pee when a man came near me. And if you picked something - anything - up, I flinched and peed too...a sure sign that I was also thrown with things that hurt me.

But mom nursed me to health, and healed my emotional scars with lots of love..... and I am now the KING of the house!! My furrever family is great and they love me to bits...and spoil me rotten too!!

So....that is my sad story..and I promise from now on they will be more cheerful!!
