Arrival Story:
Our dog mom, Sweetie, was left at the animal shelter because she was pregnant. Mommy and Daddy brought her home to live with them. I have 8 "sibs" -- Mommy and Daddy found nice homes for 7 of them -- and Bowdeen and I live with our dog mom and our human parents and a whole bunch of other critters. I was the only brown and white pup in the litter. Mommy thought I was going to be a St. Bernard -- and she had just seen the movie "Beethovan." Mommy likes to be "different" so instead of naming me "Beethovan," she named me Ludwig because that was the famous musician Beethovan's first name. Actually (but don't tell anyone), my full name is Ludwig Amadeus -- by my parents only call me that if I'm very, very bad -- and since I'm such a GOOD dog, I haven't heard them call me that for years.
